Yeah, it's a 3000kv motor. Seems to be the best when running 3s

I'm still in the midst of the build, so running will follow, stay tuned!

Here's the next video episode featuring the Vanquish driveline parts I used for the build:

I was still working on the front diff, so no front bumper was added back on yet.

Nice build thread you got going here, what with the alternative parts being released by vendors.

Can I ask how you've mounted/or will mount your RX8?

The plate that comes in the kit bag looks adequate enough, but i'm undecided on how to fasten mine onto it.

I've been eyeing up this stuff, as it's what a lot of folks seem to go with.

3M - Scotch, Double-Sided Mounting Tape (Industrial Strength) - Clear/Red Liner | eBay

Interested to know what path you'll take with yours!

I'm also considering using the mounting screws and holes that came with it. Anyone used those..?

I have an RX8 double side taped to the larger ESC plate and it has been jumped, rolled and cart wheeled (not on purpose) for months and is solid as the day I mounted it.

I'm starting the install tomorrow morning, but I already pull the flat ESC ate from the parts bag and mounted it. As for adhering it, I have used Parma tape for years, but recently switched over to the 3M clear tape with the red backing. It comes off in one piece just like the Parma and it about half the price (considering you get twice as much with the 3m.)

Any reason for not putting 3 holes into the plate and using the mounting screws?

I've never screwed an ESC in. I like the silicon tape better, easily removable and no chances of breaking an ESC case.

Here's the next video in the series, featuring some Pro-Line items. The ProSpec front shocks fit great!

Did you have any issues with the vanquish front knuckles and the hot racing hubs? I have blitz c hubs and my vanquish knuckles wont work. Too tight and would require grinding on the c hub

When ever you start mixing brands of upgrade parts, I always expect compatibility issues, which I did see mixing the HR C hubs with the Vanquish knuckles. I shaved off the black anodizing off the HR hubs and all fit good after that. Everything is free flowing now.
