Sidenote to a.sidenote: We just hit page 10 already. Not bad considering I found this thread 5 months old and only on the first page. Way to go Fresno area. Last edited by Sydwall85; 04-13-2012 at 11:12 AM.

Sidenote: I have the one rig, like you my GF thinks I spend too much time on the hobbies, I'm just thankful the wife thinks it's a fun sideline. ;) I think the plan is to start on a scaler in June based on the Trail Honcho.

Say When & Where I'm up for anywhere, but Millerton might be fun for the wife and son. I'll check back tonight to see if any decision is made. |

Too many hobbies, so little time...my sunday schedule: 6:30am-10am - Mountain biking, 10am-3pm - RC?, 3pm-6pm - motorcycling, 7pm-10pm - work... you guys pick a time and if I can make it, I will come out there...but don't schedule around me...schedule with the majority...I'll check later too... Sidenote: I guess I am an addict then. I have 7 rigs. And this is AFTER I thinned out the herd. I have two go fasts (Slash 2wd VXL, MT2 Brushless conversion), two go slows (XR10, Bully), two Scalers (Yota SCX10 based, Trail Honcho) and one right in the middle (Wraith). This doesn't include my Venom GPV motorcycle (which is not running) and my old skool Thunder Tiger On-Road (in pieces due to parts being robbed). I just got rid of two on-road (Tamiya tb04s, HPI E10 Drift), Crawler King and a second Wraith (tried to get the gf to trail run with me, didn't work out). This doesn't even include my brother's Emaxx, Smaxx and RC10GT. I need to get a life...lol |

Anyways, with all of the endless Sierra granite in our "back yard", I have a feeling this thread is only just beginning...

Tomorrow looks good for me. My wife wants to come with me to the lake. So, I'll be at the lake, around 10am tomorrow. Day Rec area on the north of Millerton. Not to far in.

DD, there's the Friant Cove area across from the Shell station that's good (and free). We have been meeting up there, what do ya think?

We can start at Friant if everyone thinks that's fine. I haven't been over on the Madera side in a while, is 10AM good for everyone?

Hey guys, I just got a venom creeper, and would like to know if there are any comps in our area. Also what hobby shop do you recommend I go to get parts from. I'm live in bass lake.

Kirby, in the Fresno area only Cycle Art carries crawler stuff, Hobbytown USA is more offroad and pavement. You can call them at 233-3665. I can't say what kind of Venom stuff they have but give them a call before you come down the hill and find out.

Pete, thanks for the advice. I will be sure to stop by cycle art next time I'm in Fresno and give them my business.

The venom creeper is a very good crawler. My roommate has one and it's very capable....and I second Cycle Art. They have a better selection of crawler parts. you have any mods on that creeper?
