Sorry man, best I can do at the moment:

I know we're all out there for fun and it really doesn't matter but... I think they should do away with winners cash prizes and just throw that money back into the raffle. It irks me when people abuse the honor system for personal gain. I know it happened for a fact this time.

Anyway, in case rastaman forgets to post it, Septembers comp will be at the fish hatchery in Oroville on the 11th.

G6n is all about the adventure and if you need to cheat to win then that's too bad, that's why we added the 10 gate 6 min SORRCA comp to our events bring out the real crawler guys
So cash payouts will never end it's also what keeps people coming back. Plus no one else does it like the butte county scalers do.
Thanks for posting results old punk
Nate dog good job on Sunday..!

Great point Rastaman and you guys always set up a great course and have fun.

Figured I'd copy/paste pics from my Ascender thread. Where's everybody else's pics?

My new set of Vaterra TSLs soaked in Simple Green running CI DW foams for TSLXLs (with ribs trimmed off) on SSD D-hole beadlocks worked even better than my previous setup with the CI DW foams for Pitbull Rockbeast II. Now my go to setup for tires and foams. I'll be re-doing my TSLs on RC4WD Wagon Wheels with same foams.

Show and shine was awesome, Kerry Lemos from Yuba City took the win with his awesome RC4WD Blazer. Raffle was awesome too, lots of great stuff given away! They gave away a ton of stuff from E&H Hobbies in Yuba City, Asiatees.com, Scale by Chris (SBC, makes nice 3d printed scale items), and Amainhobbies. Thanks to all the sponsors for supporting this great group of people! After the raffle everyone lined up and the the crawling was started in small staggered groups to avoid bottlenecks and run gates.

Was lots of fun as usual, thanks guys for another great Bald Rock comp!

Show'n'Shine, check out the new 1972 Chevrolet K10 Pickup Ascender 4WD RTR (VTR03090) next to my Blazer.
1/10 1972 Chevrolet K10 Pickup Ascender 4WD RTR | HorizonHobby

Through the woods and up the first giant granite slab! This was kinda tricky and required several attempts, the bottom is smooth and the black stuff is slippery.

Sweet TF2 on it's maiden run crawling crack.

My Va'Blazer taking a quick water and snack break. It was hot out there, just over 100*F.

One of several really cool though the boulders sections.

Trail goes down under...that a ways...

Not yet, it's still back-ordered on Horizon's site, hopefully soon. I'll put it together and post pics as soon as it arrives! I'm going to try the steering with the servo in the WB4 (314mm) position before turning it sideways. Might eventually go with a longer tie-rod directly to the top of the right side steering knuckle. Several people including Pete959 are running it this way and don't seem to have any trouble with the end-link rubbing the tire sidewall.

I got 3rd place in Class2 in Butte County Crawlers 8-14-16 Bald Rock comp! Here's a few more pics.

Couple guys I crawled with for awhile. 2.2 Yeti with Proline Ford Raptor pickup body had a lot of horsepower and was very well setup. Honcho on 1.9s was very nicely setup did quite well on the course. The 1.9 Wraith has some sweet portals from Shapeways and he was on maiden run after installing the portals and a new to him set of 1.9 Pitbull Growlers on beadlocks. He had a gear in the portals come loose and was held in by one or two setscrew threads and a lot of Loctite, but finished without anymore damage. We helped each other through some tough spots with pull strap and a few bumper nudges.

This was the most difficult line of the whole course, several gates running up the crevice with some small boulders and a little dirt here and there. Harley showed up with his Bomber and comped too.

Don't recall the guy's name, but on his maiden crawl with TF2, launching off a divot in the granite!

Coming down kinda crossed up, but landed it perfectly right through the gate and didn't touch either tennis ball marker! He was in 2WD mode at this point having blown his front ring and pinion gears earlier in the course.

Last 100 yards coming to the finish line.

My parents just bought a house and are tearing into it doing upgrades and fixing stuff that has been neglected for decades so I'm kind of obligated to help them. My mother-in-law is selling her house and moving so same deal there, need to fix things that have been neglected for decades. When I'm not doing these things I'm trying to give my fawked up back a rest. Being in constant pain is no fun.
On top of that my wife and I are in the market for a house so weekends are spent house hunting.

I'm building another 2.2 scale rig with four wheel steering, hopefully I'll have it done in time, if not, the 45 will be there.

Looks like it's going to be the FJ45 and the Bully2, new build is taking longer than anticipated.
