Stumbled across this on my you tube page. I forgot it was there. This is probably the very first time my daughter Bailey drove a crawler. This clip is from 02 when she was 3. I'm sure some of you remember competing against her a few years later at Nationals in 07 and 08. |

| Re: When was the first USRCCA Nationals? I have never seen anyone use any more than just the axles of that truck. I have seen quite a few people use a good majority of the stock XR10 kit. IMO, the XR10 was designed with the comp scene in mind. I do not see the original berg being designed with the comp scene in mind. Again, I still don't see how ANY product that is produced can be said to hurt the comp scene. Attitudes? Yes. Actions? Yes. Products? No. |

No one says you guys can't run your Dino tech crawlers since they are sooo much better. Shit evolves, ep your beloved F1 racing isn't the same as it once was but you still watch it right? Also your beloved Honda is a far cry from the model t. Oh yeah and turd busters are moa nobody's bitchin aboot them? Last edited by ROWDY RACING; 08-26-2013 at 02:43 PM. |

We had two guys running nearly stock Bergs for about a season or so. They needed about a foot of fuel tubing per shock, but that's another story. They did okay. And yes, Rowdy, I know things evolve. I have no qualms about any of that. By turd buster do you mean Clods? We complained, we called them cheater trucks. |

Correct me if I am wrong but a few of the larger companies have produced comp specific crawlers and none have lasted with the market. Ax10 rockforce compcrawler xr10 Notice the progression further and further from "scale appearing" as you go down that list in chronological order. |

Sure. Not really. But actually I don't think that term was coined until 2.2 Clods. They had a ton of ground clearance at the chassis that made them climb ledges that TLTs just couldn't deal with, especially the pimp can type torsion chassis. Then the front and rear dig. That's how I remember it.

I think technology and skills past some by. Some evolved with the change, some went scale, most gave up. I was not around in the days of yesteryear but that's how I see it and have had many old timers tell me the same. |
