I ordered 3 Yeah Racing Hackmoto rebuildable brushed motors a 13T for my TT02 and 17T for my TA02 and a 23T for my Brat and 2 Hobbywing 1060 brushed esc's, I already bought one of the same Esc's

Also bought 3 in good condition Futaba S148 servo's

History Lesson they have sold the S148 servo's for 30 some years, cause I remember seeing the Futaba packs with a Magnum Sport radio and AM receiver and battery pack and your choice of 2 servo's a S129 and a S148 or 2 S148's, they also had other brands of radio's,

I remember looking at them at the local hobby shops cause I was going to buy a Tamiya kit when I was growing up

Not as cheap as I'd hoped, but still better than buying the small pieces from the hobby shop.
Time for my first attempt at building a body from scratch.

My friend found a local place that have all kinds of plastics, and even some ways of processing it too though none of us ever ventured into CAD.

I am not sure what he pay for it, but judging from the amount he have ranging from 1 mm to 10 mm it cant be all that expensive for him.

That 4' x 8' sheet of 2mm was about AU$80.00, the smaller sheet of 0.5mm was only AU$7.00.
Works out to be about 1/5 the price the hobby shops sell it for, just way more that I need. When I'm done I might try sell what's left to recoup a little.

Nerd porn! Or is it geek porn? I always get it confused.

The old guys among us should like this. Nostalgia!

I was corrected on this just the other day actually. Unless you're super off the charts smart with terrible social skills, then you're a geek. And there's nothing wrong with that, I'm a professional geek for a living.

The person that corrected you is probably both.

People think only geeks are in my profession as well.
