new car added to Saturdays list!
the Free #66 Ford GT Lemans

its too bad it didnt come out sooner to be in our Lemans Enduro. As it won 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th

me and Steve took it out on the Nurburgring last night. great handling, but you can certainly tell its a small displancement turbo car. gotta stay in the boost!

Hate I missed it, work schedule's been a bit all over the place lately. Should be around Saturday though.

Agreed on the GT, I test drove it, it's like the GTR, you're either in the boost or in the back.

Cory, thanks for posting the pics as always.

Taco, mind sharing your project cars controller settings with me please? I've tried all the different ones I've found online, and with the assists turned off the physics just feels broken to me.

no problem, first time ive had time to in awhile.

that was the exact problem i had with the PC version. great game, but no matter how i adjusted the wheel and FFB setting i could never make it feel right.
i assumed with a controller this wouldnt be an issue though.

Apparently it's a widely known issue that the console version of the game was never developed with the intention of being played with a controller. Thrustmaster now has a wheel setup for $199, and it's tempting since 95% of my gaming is racing games. I've read that it's great with a wheel, then again, I've read people saying it's great with a controller so who the feck knows LOL.

well i can tell you on PC with a G27 wheel, and 2-3 weeks of adjusting it was still crap and i gave up on it. might not be worth throwing good money after bad.
a shame cause there was lots i really liked about the game. sadly the lack of feel/connectedness killed it all.

Well, I hate to hear that Cory. The amount of tracks alone in Pcars makes me want to figure it out if possible. I did end up ordering a Thrustmaster TMX wheel setup, mainly for other games though. I've fought the urge for a while, but at this price point it will let me see if a wheel is worth the cost or not. Hopefully it's as much fun as the old PS2 and Logitech was back in the day. If so, I'll be super happy. It'll be here tomorrow.

Once you get used to it it's a great car, but because of the length and the tremendous amount of turn in it has their is a little learning curve.

Well the wheel showed up today, and I have to say I couldn't be happier for the money. Project cars is a whole new animal now, and it rocks with the wheel setup. I even managed to hold a few drifts already. Dirt Rally is right there too, every jump, dip, rock, etc can be felt. Both have proper drift physics, meaning the front tires (and wheel) will try to follow the direction of travel, same as a real car would. I see myself wasting hours, and hours at this shit.
