My dad got a new zl1 at the beginning of the summer and after some time in it, it's as mind bending as you would think. Even at 41 years old I'm finding reasons to swing by pops house and suggest we go knock the dust off it. As far as its performance goes, we have all read the comparisons, and I or he are no where near the vehicles capability, but I will say it's the first vehicle, 2 or 4 wheeled I've ever been in/on that 1st gear is completely useless (in a fun way).. it's on the rev limiter before you can even fully press the pedal down. Best I can compare it to is a 500cc 2 stroke on the pipe.. brap-brap-brap are 1st 2nd 3rd.. no dramatic revving, it just like a light switch giving you instant full throttle revving stutter box..

If you get the chance to go run one around, take it.. and save your pennies to pay the traffic tickets
