Truck driver. Starting to realize I'm about over it. Looking to either take a job as a millwright or take the plunge and start my own business.

I used to pipefit...no certification, I just needed a job and I learn fast.
I was also the bobcat operator on an oil lease clean up crew for the same company. Did both for years...

Did some other jobs not worth mentioning, chicken separator, I’d separate the corn scratchers from the shit peckers...

Now I work for my communities public works division/program.
I’m the backhoe operator/mechanic...mechanics assistant, but we use my family’s machines/equipment (Volvo 930 grader, and a case 580m+ backhoe). We’ve had these machine for about 9-10years.

Been in machinery and building maintenance since the Zenith factory in the early 80's. Worked in a couple of custom cabinet shops. Spent about 10 yrs workin' for a custom Limousine builder, startin' in the mid 90's. Traveled the country as their Service Mgr. for the last 6 of 'em, fixin' big long cars and buses. Now I'm semi-retard', down to part-time home and business repairs.

I'm the lead eye-closer at the local artisnal sardine canning plant. The pay is lousy, but I've got a real passion for it.

Not really. I've spent the last quarter century working as an RV tech. Working in a handful of dealerships in three different states has taught me that while the technology has improved, nobody has really figured out how to build a better camper.

Used to be a Submarine sonarman, got tired of it... retired.

Now I am electronics technician working on quarter-scale submarine models at a tiny postage stamp of a base in Northern Idaho. Overall I like the job, aside from what I do with the models I also drive and repair ROVs, not a bad gig at all, especially for retired Navy.

Former Director of IT for a healthcare company, let go 2 years ago when the new CEO decided to put her 23 year old, just graduated nephew with zero experience and zero tech knowledge in charge. Company was run into the ground, and was bought out by the competition last month. Too bad....well, not really.

Former programmer, data analyst, and system designer. Now a stay at home dad per the wife's request. No stress, no commute, and no money.. Surfing the forums at 8:30 am in sweatpants. Clean the house, go to the gym, help in class for an hour, play in the shop for a bit, get the kids off the bus, and make dinner. That's my job now. Freaked me out at first, but now I like it.

Just waiting for a job at the local railroad to open up. Tired of computers, strange IT personalities, ignorant management, and constantly resetting passwords. Rather live out my dream and do what I love. Time will tell.

Owned and operated a car audio-accesory company for 19 yrs until 2013, owned a local franchise restaurant for a year after that, went to work as an employee for the first time in my life as the C.O.O. of the largest rent a car company down here, which also rents choppers, i was also put in charge of setting up a car armoring company for the same company, ran that for the last three years, became unemployed on dec. 21, my own decision as i felt i needed a change, right now i am in the process of setting up a new car accesory company but doing wholesale instead of retail.
