Axial RC Inc. is proud to announce Off Road Action as an additional sponsor for AXIALFEST 2013.

Off Road Action was the pipe dream of two second generation racers, Dale Nyeste and Wes Kibble. Talking about the “good old days” growing up at the playdays watching their fathers race Broncos with Desert Dogs and Terra tires. Wes and Dale started talking about scanning photos and making a website. The next day Wes decided to go ahead and start the second version of Off Road Action. The site grew very quickly and after a year he decided to take it a different direction… more towards a blog that people could subscribe to.

Wes recently started a new career and decided to sell Off Road Action. Curtis Guise, producer of the Dezert People Video Series and co-owner of Race-Dezert.com has taken over for Wes and has many plans to continue and grow the site. Visit them at: Off Road Action-Worlds Largest Vintage Off Road & 4x4 Website!facebook.com/offroadaction

Off Road Action has donated t-shirts for the AXIALFEST participants.

Axial R/C Inc. is proud to announce that Busted Knuckle Films has been added to the sponsor list for AXIALFEST 2013.

Axial crew was honored to meet the Busted Knuckle Film crew while attending the 2012 King of the Hammers event in Johnson Valley, Ca. More to the surprise and giddiness of one Axial employee, Rodney Wills was stoked to have met some folks from his home state of Alabama while in the middle of the Southern California desert!

Busted Knuckle Films is an adrenaline sports film company based out of Auburn, Alabama. They are extreme sport enthusiasts that film all over the southeast for the DVD productions’ most notable for covering the automotive sport of Rock Bouncing.

“We can cover any event for you and your organization, and provide you with professional DVDs and video. We can even make commercials and sponsorship videos. Don’t sweat the small stuff, we can work with any budget.” – Matt Myrick – Busted Knuckle Films

When asked, why they started Busted Knuckle Films, founder Matt Myrick stated that it all started when he bought his first video camera to capture their off road trips. He wanted to be able to show the world why people spend so much time and money wrenching on rigs only to go out and thrash them, break them, fix them, and do it all over again – ALL IN THE NAME OF FUN! It is all about man and machine against the elements. The more that the Busted Knuckle Film crew went out and filmed, edited and produced the videos for fun and posted on-line, the more people kept telling Myrick that he and crew should make DVDs and sell them. So that is just what they did!

Busted Knuckle Films (BKF) was born. Matt and crew came up with the name because they are true gearheads who work hard on their own personal rigs and bust knuckles just to get them ready for their next outing. The Busted Knuckle crew don’t just film Fourwheeling and Rockcrawling, they live it! If it gets adrenaline pumping and has a chance for bodily injury, you can bet BKF will be there to film and partake in the shenanigans. After all, Busted Knuckle Film crew are just a bunch of camera carrying adrenaline junkies. BKF- DVDs for Gear heads by Gear heads.

You can try and win one at the raffle at Axialfest! We also have shirts and stickers available on our site.
I've known Rodney at Axial for along time and it's great to be a part of the event this year. I sent Rodney a box of Off Road Action T-shirts and 150 Dezert People off road racing DVDs to give away.

RECON G6, LLC

RECON U.T.A.C INTEL

The Ultimate Team Adventure Challenge™ or U.T.A.C. is the premiere team adventure challenge and the only radio controlled scale challenge that uses a GPS to navigate. Last years champions, Team MRB, did a great job in navigating, problem solving, and completing challenges. Imagine geocaching with your G-Ride or scaler and adding several challenges that will test each team and those teams members. Who will dethrone Team MRB and add to the legacy of the Ultimate Team Adventure Challenge™ Axialfest Champions?

U.T.A.C. Overview and Details

The RECON U.T.A.C. Team consists of 3 members. Each member drives their own Axial based scaler & each team member plays a distinct role. The “Driver” is the team captain & will communicate with the G-Crew & is responsible for the Teams Log Book. The “Navigator” is the team’s GPS & will use a GPS device to navigate the team from each preset destination. The “Support Driver” will carry all special equipment for the team & will achieve this by pulling a trailer or driving a 6×6. Teams must stay together at all times unless a skill section or special task states otherwise.

- There will be several preset G-Caches. Each team will determine in what order to obtain them.
- Each G-Cache must be located with a GPS & will contain directions as to what tasks needs to be performed. This may require all team members or only a certain team member to complete.
- Some G-Caches may require some puzzle solving.
- Only one team at a time can be at a G-Cache. Teams that arrive at a G-Cache that is occupied by another team, must wait until that team completes their skill task before they can continue. A team waiting should stay back at least 150 feet from a team that is at the G-Cache.

There is a 7 mandatory scale item requirement for every team member’s Axial based scaler.

Support Driver Items

- Must carry the Drivers spare tire.
- Must carry a small flashlight.
- must carry a 1 inch square piece of steel wool.
- Must carry an 10 foot long piece of string/rope that will support the weight of the drivers vehcle.
- Must carry one magnet, able to lift 3lbs.
- All items must be carried on the rig. This includes all items picked up during the event.

Note: A team member must carry binoculars. This is up to the team captain who carries them. The binoculars can be carried around the neck or in a back pack or on a belt.

G-Cache Locations

There are no trail markers guiding teams to the G-Cache. The Navigator will direct his/her team to the location using only a GPS. Teams will have to locate the G-Cache, much like Axial fans have to locate the Axial Geocache and then follow the directions & replace the G-Cache back as it was found.

RECON U.T.A.C. Teams that complete the tasks, have the fewest penalties, & can survive the Ultimate Team Adventure Challenge™, will have finished the World’s premiere scale team event.

Good luck, RECON U.T.A.C. Teams & God speed.

Axial R/C Inc. is proud to announce that Rigid Industries LED Lighting has been added to the sponsor list for AXIALFEST 2013!

In 2006, a young company by the name of Rigid Industries LED Lighting introduced the E-Series LED Light Bar; the first of its kind in the LED lighting industry. Since then, Rigid Industries has led the forward projecting LED lighting industry in light output and efficiency. Our patented Hybrid and Specter optics systems effectively control the beam of light emitted by the LED which translates to more light where you want it with very little wasted spill light.

While Rigid Industries started as an off-road lighting company, we currently produce lighting for off-road, powersports, agriculture, marine, mining / construction, and police and fire rescue industries. We take pride in the fact that our LED lighting products are designed, engineered, and assembled in the USA, not only to help build our local economy, but also to remain hands-on to ensure the high level of quality that youve come to expect from Rigid Industries LED Lighting.

Our design and engineering teams are constantly developing new and innovative products using the latest in LED technology.
