For a 2.2 rig, is it worth the extra money for a 4PKS or will a 4PKL do it??

The 4PKS still has advantages, you just have to decide if they are worth it to YOU. The way the you can separate the dig functions onto PS1 and PS2, the versatility of the 2 program mixes, the faster response time, the customizable button and wheel position, more versatile with other RC's, longer range, etc.

The 4PKS is still my radio of choice, but the 4PL will do one hell of a job for a comp crawler.

I tried reading through the whole thread but gave up.. do you have independent control of the 3rd or 4th channel, If I wanted it for a scale truck could I use channel 3 or 4 for a winch or 3 speed, or could I use it for the 2 speed on the summit trans?

You have total control over channel 3 and 4. You can set them to do whatever you want. Every channel has EPA's for both directions as well.

Good to know, I keep seeing everything about the mixing with the PL and was really hopping it still would give me the ability to control them separate of the steering or throttle

Yes, it's right behind the flux capacitor on the passenger side.

Off the top of your head, do you know how many gigawatts the flux capacitor is on this particular radio if I drink coors light?

I'm Running 2 Fxr's with the 4pl, It took me about 20 Min to get used to the Dig on the Grip button, It works But like its stated its not the Best way to do it.

If i was to buy it again, would I wait. No its not that bad. Will i send it of for a update.Yes.

The Proportion Function Works very well I have 1 Dt switch set for 20%(this might get moved up need more drive time) and the other set for 10%

I am planning on buying a 4PL to replace my 3R because I am doing rear steer on my 2.2 scaler. I am retarded when it comes to radios, mixing and setup.

My question is since I won't be running dual ESC's should I wait for the updated version to come out or will I be OK with the one that is out now?

The one that is out now already has the rear steer mixing available or you can setup your own mixing options. Nothing in the update would effect you.

Trying to decide if i should get the 4PL or use my Spektrum DX7. I'm building the xr10 kit right now and almost set on ordering two FXR s over the novak m2 dig esc.
Does anyone know if it will work on the dx7 or should i just get the 4PL?
