Works good. Need to tighten the pivot on the mount but good. Edit: and drop it down. Looks like it's wayyyy up there. Last edited by calcagno45; 04-09-2017 at 04:20 PM. |

Only after about an hour of run time one of my VP Q Series lights stopped working. Anyone replace a Q Series LED?

I'd like to know what led vp uses for those, they are bright. But try contacting vp for a replacement?

| Re: CHEAP replacement led strips for vp rigid housings? Me as well. They were very nice and VERY bright for sure. I did contact them through the "Contact Us" on the website but no response yet. Will contact them via phone next week. If they weren't so expensive i would just chuck the housing but would like a replacement if i could. Heck i would buy 2 just in case.

Still no word from VP and i haven't had the chance to call yet. I decided to open up the light since there was no reason like a pop, sizzle or smoke for it to stop working. Neg - Not burnt just bad lighting Hmmm That doesn't look right. Pos + unsoldered itself Should i re-solder? I found the LED board with no wires online if it would be better to start from scratch. |

Hook it up to power/ground and press the wire to board/solder and see if it works. If so, solder it back on and your good to go. Easy fix.

I'm using this https://www.aliexpress.com/item/10W-...608.0.0.h94RTi and it's crazy bright. However you'll need an LED driver in order to make it work correctly, something like this https://www.aliexpress.com/item/High...608.0.0.h94RTi. Or you can use a variable CC step down module and you can adjust the mAh as you want http://www.ebay.com/itm/DC-DC-LM2596...wAAOSwt5hYb5jk I installed the chip on a aluminium angle, with a little thermal adhesive and this is the final result: Last edited by Tzicul; 05-09-2017 at 07:45 AM. |
