Hi! I have a LRP X20 motor. Is a sensored 17.5t spec motor. Was a gift and just now, I have a RC to it on but is a rally car. The motor works nice there but it's full of holes to cool. What can I do to it to prevent dirt and sand to get in? |

| ![]() Simply not possible! this car is so much fun on dirt roads or hiking paths...It would be a pity of just used in asphalt.. I was thinking in machining some sort of metal jacket like the boat motors use but this one has a weird shape in the back. Might work if I change the wires.. Also thought in a underbody lexan cover but there's no one for my model I'll check your suggestions...thank you! |

I used aluminum mesh screen ( a few bucks at Hobby Lobby) for one of my motors where because of it's location, there's a lot of potential for small rocks and debris to enter through the slots. I cut a small section just wide enough to cover the slots and long enough to wrap all the way around the motor, then used a dab of adhesive to keep it in place ( can't remember which brand). Time will tell if it stays put but I also considered soldering it in place if the adhesive fails.
