I must say that some of those lines didn't look at all doable especially with the undercuts mixed with the snow...great driving!

The tires are amazing. I never was a boss claw fan, so honestly i did not expect much out of the voodoo tires. They work flawlesly on the rock at lake 35. Getting better with each pack also. I could not believe that even with snow packed in the tread they climbed every climb i pulled up to. With the crawler innovation foam sidehills are cake also. I am looking forward to seeing how these tires do at some other spots i go to soon. Thanks for the compliments on my driving. It has been a while and was wondering if it was still up to par.

So i have been bored with the nasty weather. I started thinking i needed some more choices in the wheel and tire department. For those who have been doing this for a while will remember the wheels i am starting with. They are eritex inc adjustable offset delrin hoops. They look like this. [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] I had some extra wheel faces laying around and thought i could make the old wheel usable on my new rig. All was done with hand tools as i do not own a lathe or mill. They turned out good though and i am happy with them. [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][IMG][/IMG][/IMG] |

I always thought those wheel works wheels had a good design. I did like the Charlottes that Eritex made too.

Well i finally decided where i was going to run my elecs, so i cleaned them up. Also having my voodoo setup dialed in i am starting on the rover setup. I will begin with no added weight as i did the voodoo. The wheels that are on the rover are glue on kl design one offs. Starting with ci closed cell 5.25 inners. Soft front and medium rear outers. The inners are drilled for venting. [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] Starting weight for rover setup. [IMG][/IMG]

| Re: A D-Lux comeback! Thanks wheels. It has been snowing here every day. I have not got to test the rover combo yet. I put the voodoo combo back on for a comp this weekend. I hope to test the rover's soon. Quote:
My skins came in and were installed. Krawler konceptz threw in some panels and mounted the skins for christmas. Thank you very much Michelle. The skins look great in person, if the sun ever comes back out around here i will get some pics. Thanks again for the easy design phase, great comunication, and overall great process. On to some pics.

it is working good so far. Quote:
Here in the stl we have some heavy hitting drivers. I was happy to step right back in after a couple years off. This truck works great. There are a couple things I am working on changing. If it works I'll shoot some pics. Comp today was fun. It was great to see some old friends. Only mistakes today were driver error. Truck did every thing with ease. 2.2 Pro class 1. Nice job! How did the tie breaker for first work? It looks like you both ended up with the same score? Edit: I forgot to say, its very impressive that somebody can take years off of the hobby and come back and do some damage like that. |

| Re: A D-Lux comeback! Thank you. This rig is amazing. Makes half ass driver look good. I am excited to get some wheel time and get the connection. I do not think it will take long. Rcrc comps go by the rule that tie's are decided by best score on last course. Sucks to get a tie as one reverse cost me the win. I am happy to do that well first course back though. |

How do you take a rig that rolls over easily all ready and make it do better? You talk Sniper fab into cutting you some awesomeness. Get ahold of Rick at snipersfabshop@yahoo.com he has the file for the crown and will be happy to help you out. Last edited by ubbb69; 01-14-2014 at 07:01 PM. |

Way cool! I may have to look into doing something like that myself! What do I have to do to get those plastic spacers out of the upper links? |
