Neat rig..... but thankfully no one near me runs something like that. Annoying as hell. Can you add multiple mufflers to kill the sound?

Well done I think the gearing is dead on any faster and technical crawl's would be a bitch. Might add some weight to the front tires or shift something heavy forward, it'll keep the turtle's away. | |

very impressive nitro crawler. and actually seeing it work in the video was awesome. i see alot of potential for a scale crawler. i wonder, bend some tube up into a chassis and make it look like a mid-engine buggy...

Marvelous piece of engineering! I do have one suggestion though, you've stated that you need to keep the tank at least half full to avoid pickup issues, have you considered using an aircraft tank?

fourthree- I do need some sort of clunk tank for it. I am using this tank purely because it fits in the space I had. I just have to find a clunker small enough. Matt |

That is awesome man. Now that you have a working prototype just work in getting the CG down and you may start a new segment of this hobby. |

Well done Matt, cool project. May I suggest a Tettra buble-less fuel tank. Should give a consistant fuel supply to the last drop, regardless of tilt, or even turtles. Just a thought, but this looks like a perfect application for a little .25 four-stroke from Saito or OS. Might sound better too. Good luck with it. |

I think with some better tires and the right amount of weight in them and it would probably crawl even better. Oh yea.......I LIKE THE SOUND OF NITRO'S RUNNING! |

| Finally a working prototype!!!
I just knew it was only a matter of time before someonepulled this off. Great Matt!! Keep tweakin buddy you'll get it perfected!! You could move the engine into the "right" locatin on the frame ad run a drive shaft from the gear reduction unit to the r2 as a tranfer case, then you would have enough weight up front. then weight your front tires if needed!! Good job matt |

Nice job Matt Looks like a ton of fun, (and like you stated) not intended to be a comp rig. I'd also bet with some better tires and more weight in them, it would be more capable Enjoy your creation I'm sure the tweaking and tuning has just begun, and you'll get it dialed in to what you want it to do |

If you can get it to fit, use a losi 8 tank. I was curiouse (spelling?) as to how well it worked with the clunker I tried running a whole tank up side down and it worked, never stalled, no nothing.

Cool awesome job bro.... You seem to have the gearing dialed well done... Imaging a 4 stroke engine for a more "scale" sound! |

Thanks, Some great suggestions coming up. Ive got some rock claws at home on some uber offset rims that I need to get unglued and put on some eight shooters or something. Weight em up and try it again. Matt |
