Grizz the hummer uses a TA04

I have a truck called the "After shock" that uses that same basic chassie- beat the hell out of it, put some hot glue around the seems then submerged it a few times and now it sets out in the garage and catch's solder

I think I'll order those and stick them on it just for fun

It looks best on the smaller stadium trucks. Here is a pic of an E-maxx, and it looks a little odd.

Its harder than you think to do all the mods. I have a lathe in my garage,a dn its still a pin in the pita.

how hard do you think it would be to adapt to a tlt-1. i think they would look pretty cool mounted under a maxx body

Its fairly easy to mount them. All you need is the right kind of axle extenders, and then some torque rods from an airplane kit. My biggest problem now is making the cheap RS parts better. I'm basically rebuilding the track assemlbies to make them better. But, I've wanted to do this for a long time, just never had the starting point.

Sorry I just saw the other questions. The tracks use a 5/16" hex to drive the main cog wheel. Then, you have to fabricate a torque limiting rod to stop the assembly from flipping over.

thanx. i had the idea of making them better too. like taking the outside plate and making out of aluminum. and replacing gears inside with metal and such. hope u get this bitch figured out and make a kit out of it.

I already started to rebuild the insides. All of the gear meshes have to be tightened up so far. I think the housing will be strong enough, and the belt seems OK. The axle adapters are easy, so it not that hard. Its just not good enough to make it a RAMtech-RC factory project. It has to probably stay a RAMtech-Garage project...

I went and looked at the vehical over the weekend and it looks like the best way would be to use the whole knuckle assemble minus the A arms. The knuckle looks like it would bolt right to a TL01 type Chassis, if i remember right I think that the Tamiya Baja Champ is a TL01 chassis with longer A arms... it might not make a good crawler, but i betchya it would be fun for snow and sand.... it might be time to break out the visa.... or whatever isnt maxed out yet...

I would love a set for my 1:1 Dodge Hemi Ram 4x4...but at $25K a set, they can keep them.

Sure they look good, but how do they preform? Do they eat servos? What speeds can they run at, without throwing a tred? How much strain do they put on the axles?

My Bud Has The Aftershock One Thats The Same But Without The Tracks. Has Almost Zero Torq. With The Tires. With The Tracks I Dunno. Thinkin Of Putting A Gear Reduction On It And See. I Post Vids Of It Later.
