Default Red Threadlock

Hi guys, just wondering why sort of Threadlock you all refer to as 'red Threadlock' because I have just looked and there is just too much choice

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I usually use BLUE (242) unless I never want to separate the parts again, then I'll use red (271).

Yes, do NOT use red unless you NEVER want to separate the parts. It is technically possible, but it's messy. Blue works for 99% of uses.

If you use RED and want to remove the bolt or screw later, touch your soldering iron to the area for a few seconds and it'll come right off

Thanks a lot for your reply it was just what I wanted, I have previously used loctite 243 for everything and the tube I had has just run out and I wanted some more of that but also some red for permanently locking things and didn't know what sort I should get

Thanks for the tips guys, I wouldn't put it onto anything I want to remove but the soldering iron trick sounds good
