Lightbulb My AX-10

My first crawler!!! It was a ton of fun to build. It is still all stock I am trying to decide between a tuber and the helios body. I like the tuber better but I am concerned about ease of getting it off and on to exchange the battery. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

This was my first attempt at building a crawler. SUCCESS!!!!! I love my truck!!! It climbs very well. The frame and links are all custom designed and built by me. A lot of trial and error went into this puppy but the outcome is EXCELLENT! Hey. . . for a newbie first timer I did alright.

Truck Base : ClodBuster

ESC: Novak Rooster Crawler Edition

Motor(s): 2-75 turn Integy lathe motors

Servo(s): 2-Hitech 645mg's

Trans: No tranny. . . . . IT'S a CLOD!!!!!!!

Axles: ClodBuster with full bearings

Tires: Weighted Juggernaut tires on chrome bullet wheels

WB: 19"

Overall Width: 14"

Diff clearance: 2-2 1/2"

Center Chassis clearance: 7"

Overall height: 13"

Look at that clear blue Wyoming sky behind my truck! What an awesome pic. Thanks goes to Joel from our RC club for taking that pic. http://www.windycityrc.com/Home_Page.html

Here's my AX10 at a comp just last Saturday. New body and tires.

Here's my Super Crawler sporting a new body tires and wheels also at a comp last saturday.

I thought I would add my newest crawler to list of crawlers. Basic AX10 with custom chassis.

okay now. . . . . I couldn't stop at building one rock crawler. Can you?!?!?!?! Here is my second crawler. It is an AX10. You just can't beat an AX10. It is an awesome crawler and whole lotta fun to build to boot. I love the old Power Wagon body. I remember driving the old Power Wagon out on the ranch when I was a kid. What a hoot. Driving the crawler is pretty much the same, super slow and full of tenacious power!!!

I modified the lower links to get more ground clearance and still protect the driveshafts. Other than that "Betty" is stock.

Truck Base : AX10

ESC: Novak Rooster Crawler Edition

Motor: 65 turn Integy lathe motor

Servo(s): 2-traxxas 2055's. I have four wheel steering.

Trans: Stock AX10 tranny

Axles: Stock AX10 axles

Tires: Stock Rock Lizards on stock beadlocks

WB:12.5"

Overall Width: 10.5"

Diff clearance: 1 1/2" - 2"

Center Chassis clearance: 4"

Overall height: 10"
