| Re: What are they coming out with, C2X ??
Jury is in! Ran my C2X this afternoon. Very good performer. I set it up soft as I usually do. I cheated slightly, as I used my Axial Blazer wheels that rule, and hook up very well. SSD beadlocks & Proline Predator compound KM3's. (I'll try the stock tires tomorrow. Gotta drill holes in the stock wheels...) 2S shorty lipo pack. 30 wt oil & very little preload. I tucked the front bumper and layed the rear shocks forward... This truck articulates very well. Articulation is not a problem. Traction is not a problem with the Predator compound tires. Here are some limitations for me... Larger diffs hang up quicker than Axial or Enduro diffs. Painted links hang up quicker than shiny slippery Ax or Enduro links IMO. It hung up on the center skid more than my Blazer or Enduro too. Unadjusted, the slipper spun pretty quick (easy adjustment). It turns too sharp! I turned down the steering endpoints slightly. It would roll my soft tires too soon. Also, the ESC, I felt, was slightly notchy at .001 mph. I have better super slow control on my Axial Blazer and Enduro. Oh, maybe slightly top heavy with the heavier hardbody... The build quality is very good IMO, with much more metal (than Axial or the Enduro), plus delrin & aluminum shocks. Not bitches, but differences mostly. I will tighten the slipper. I will adjust my line to clear diffs (more so needed than on the other two). Sucks to roll such a nice body (but I did lol). I think any competent driver can kick butt with the C2X. I will call it a supreme truck. I think if the front can be over-driven and -1 on the pinion it would really rock. Don't hold back... Go get one! https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...n.jpg~original https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...b.jpg~original https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...o.jpg~original https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...i.jpg~original Last edited by Maxxamillion; 10-07-2019 at 10:25 AM. |

Ok, ran the stock wheels/tires this afternoon. No holes yet drilled in the wheels, netting 'higher air pressure' firmer tires. To my surprise, my C2X wheeled excellent! Tacky tires. No tires buckling underneath in turns do to very low 'psi'. It climbed everything I threw at it in my yard, even climbing what I could not with my SSD/Proline Predator KM3 tires yesterday. Just the extra bit of ground clearance from firmer tires had me hanging up less on rocks. Hmmm... maybe I wont drill the stock wheels. I need sliders. And my C2X is a beast. I can't say a clear cut winner between my Axial K5 Blazer, Enduro, or the C2X. They are that close (at least on my property). Ok, maybe the Enduro edges out due to its climbing ability... https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...c.jpg~original https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...o.jpg~original https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...h.jpg~original And where the C2X hangs up IMO. On the painted sliders, square edged center skid, and fat low hanging diffs. https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...z.jpg~original |

And... as far as articulation goes, I would say the Enduro has the best articulation. My Axial Blazer 2nd, and the C2X 3rd. But the C2X is no slouch and stays pretty flat. None are box stock. |

How are the C2X’s holding up? I just ordered one, scheduled to be here on Friday. I went back and forth for a month, trying to decide if the truck was visually appealing to me. In the end, I think I like it. I read somewhere that RC4WD did some very minor running changes to address a couple issues, so that sealed the deal for me. |

Unfortunately I'm doing the same thing with the C2X that I did with my Bomber - gathering parts for over a year and hopefully (unlike the Bomber) I won't take another year to build it with all the upgrades. I ordered mine right when it was released, direct with a veteran discount - it was my birthday present to myself. They sent me the aluminum Panhard replacement after emailing me and asking if I still had it, much stronger than the original plastic. I've probably roughly doubled my initial investment in add-ons, upgrades, and accessories, but this is my first hardbody - so I'm getting pretty fancy with it. I haven't started a build thread for it yet, as I have been actually disassembling instead of assembling... (below is my Bomber thread - I got so many parts that I am eventually going to build a second one, using carbon fiber frame rails instead of the plastic cage - I suppose that will be yet another thread!) The "Just shut up and build it" thread... Last edited by durok; 12-08-2020 at 08:30 PM. |

Does anyone know if a regular Rc4wd roll bar will fit on the rear bed ? I’m looking at getting one but just can’t get over the unfinished look of that bed . If I could put a roll bar back there I think it would give it that truggy kind of look . If not I’ll more than likely pass on getting it and get the tf2 Bfgoodrich edition

To my knowledge there is no current rollbar that will fit, because of the odd dimensions of the Delrin bed. You could look at the Marlin edition which is one of the better performers, or that BFGoodrich edition. I personally also like the Midnight edition, but it is really just paint and nice wheels/tires.... (kinda what the BFG edition is too, frankly). Browse YouTube, though - there have been a couple videos where people have cut and bobbed regular Mojave II rear beds to fit around the Delrin one... I may do that down the road. Thanks I’m thinking the tf2 will be better for my taste then . I’ve already got a regular tf2 and had a Marlin so the Bfgoodrich edition may be that happy medium "thumbsup.
