Lovin' that body...especially the way it tucks into the bumpers and sliders. Looks very clean.

The body is at least nice and simple, has some depth with the grille and light buckets, and a full interior. is it the best released body to date? Hell no. But it is better than some might give credit for, especially for a non-"officially licensed" body. My biggest challenge with the chassis is the driver side front axle offset. I'd have to run a GM body on it (I bleed GM), and they are a right offset. Would drive me nuts! I would have LOVED to have seen them offer these as no-body sliders with the option of left or right front diff pumpkins (see: GCM) at a bit lower price. But, there's always things people can pick apart and "wish" for. At the end of the day, we don't have just another platform available to us (well, will be shortly anyways), we have a pretty badass one at that. Great job VP. |

The body looks fine to me. It's got some bronco and some scout in it... I really appreciate a company that puts the money into quality rather than licensing agreements for trucks that are 50 years old. I could write the check for one, but I have too many other hobbies to go that serious into this one. God knows I've already spent enough. Has anyone asked Harley if it comes with a set of divorce papers? Maybe he can make a form to make it a "pre-marital asset"? Just a few things that may help with the marketing team...

| Re: How about something new ?? The truck was developed around existing and proven components we already manufacture. Every decision that was made was not taken lightly. It was very hard not to ignore the fact that we could bring the product to market that much faster by using our existing components and improve upon those. The new topshaft slipper eliminator and motor plate really bring this transmission to a new level and I truly feel the customers will not be disappointed. We are a small dedicated team here, designing and developing a forward mount transmission that meets our standards would be a massive undertaking.

It answers everything, it would have taken months more to develop.

| Re: How about something new ?? if I can pump out a working t case and a set of wheels out in cad with the right dimensions in 30 minutes.... im sure they could make a forward mount motor/ trans in a week. I think why they didn't is.. well maybe it kept the cost down a little? a little less parts for the consumer to deal with? leave the plastic bits for the rtr's. now im gonna go design more wheels. p.s. the rig is awesome. I wish I could of held out on project TAZ. but time happens. still gonna move forward. |
