so don't get me wrong fellas i really do think this rig is incredible. i just hope there is... more? that can be done to it later? i know its impossible to make EVERYONE happy. and i tend to gravitate more towards scale stuff than capability (if you saw my brown ford with 1.55 dirt grabbers you understand lol) so obviously i, me, personally, would expect to see a forward motor or even scale drivetrain on a rig of this... "caliber". (there, i didn't say "price")
just voicing my opinion, and not bashing the incredible work you are all doing here. like i said, its impossible to mass produce the PERFECT rig for EVERYONE. that's where the fun of customization comes in. i just hope this has room for that. like some expansion kit or something later on? i dunno, just spitballing. that way you could get the rig out here for current... cost, and offer even MORE for future enhancement and keep customers coming back for more to enhance this rig even further? not telling you how to run your business either, like i said, just ideas.

TL;DR:
nice truck! can we get (more) aftermarket parts for this rig made up entirely of aftermarket awesomeness?

also that pic is awesome. love the hockey stripes. Matt, hockey is this thing people play where the object of the game is to push a little thing called a puck across ice and into a goal. you push (or hit) it with a stick. its shaped like an "L". hence: HOCKEY STRIPE. ;)

Yes? I don't understand why you'd mention that. Photos get edited all the time. It's pretty subtle in the scope of what I see from some rc photographers.

my comment about the transmission might have been misinterpreted.

putting or moving that weight forward kinda makes no difference. because now, you would have to relocate the battery and servo winch. the only reason I could see the need to move the motor forward is if a heavy motor was being used. but like I said.. it doesn't take long to make a fwd mounted motor with a trans. or using a gearbox in the front with the motor mounted to it driving power to a t case mounted on the skid. to make it look nice.. yeah.. it can take longer. depends how much time you want to sit down at a desk.

Indeed it's similar to a deadbolt body wise... Regarding scaler bodies. Last I checked most scale RC guys want their rig to resemble the real deal not some toy like body you could find it Toys R Us. That's what made Tamiya bodies so special for many years and still their bodies set the bar pretty high.... Hell Cmx is licensing them....

I'm a fan of Vanquish. The idea of buying an RC completely sorted and upgraded by the best in the business defeats the entire reason I do RC in the first place. For me, the actual build process, and progression of upgrades is my favorite part of the hobby. The learning experience and interaction on the forums about what works what doesn't etc...

I compare these high end of Vanquish RC to Capo RC. Will these niche products companies money? Nope. Is it about passion and getting the best product out there that they can? Absolutely...

Definitely not for me though....

I've never understood the RTR side of the hobby, but I'm happy it's kept it alive...

I think this is more about value for money. Look at all the threads for the SCX10 or Yeti where by the end the only Axial part left is the battery tray. Perhaps the right question here is why is it acceptable for a company to sell something that has to be entirely replaced with after market parts to work properly? Anyway, this Vanquish product at least to me looks like good value and in the end. That is perhaps why it will be attractive. 800 USD for a fully upgraded SCX10 is a steal really.

You gotta understand the relations between axial and vanquish. And who works with what company.

Axial gets you in the door, vanquish takes the money. Vanquish imho should have offered a kit from the ground up a few years ago.
