I can't guess correctly at the weakest link in the chain, sorry I would say run a slipper clutch to keep the impact down, and don't be full throttling with the wheels at full lock. Rear gears are suspect if you come down hard on the rear under throttle. You would need an aluminum axle housing to take that sort of abuse.

What motor do you recommend for the Wraith? I'll be using it for bashing and trail driving, with some crawling thrown in as well. Should I spend the extra money on a handwound motor, or will the 540 expert be sufficient if I don't plan on serious competing?

Thanks!

If you don't care to compete and you can run 3s lipo, a 35t motor can work pretty well for you. Otherwise something around a 27t or 13t Crawlmaster would be my suggestion. Handwound will have more power and torque. On the wraith it would be very noticeable.

Thanks for the reply. I plan on using a 2S lipo. It sounds like I'll go with the extra power and torque of a handwound motor. Thanks!

Ok I am just about done with my sportsman just need a motor to get it running. I am running a cc sidewinder on a 1000 mah 2s lipo I want good wheel speed and lots of torque. I like the sport version for the price at this point. I will upgrade latter. I just can't decide between 45 and 35 turn. I have never really comped before so this is new to me. What do u think.

Thanks john. Just curious as to what happens if they get too short? Do they just not make contact with the comm or is there also other problems that can occur?

Default 4s on torquemaster pro?

I recently picked up a new hh brxl and a 21t torque master pro Can i safely run 4s voltage on that motor? It will be in a wraith with stock gearing and tire size. 99 % of the time I plan to run 3s.

Also, I just noticed on your site that the mamba micro pro is not recommended for TorqueMasters 35t on 3s lipo. I know a few people still use them without issues but would it be safer if I went to a 45T for my XR10?
