thanks for the answer john,

sensorless motor are not suitable for the use i will do, too much coccing on start, perhaps the 1415, as it is a 4pole, can have less coccing, but i'm not sure of this.

what do you mean " some modification to the chassis " ? i tried to look near a ballistic 550 and it seems to fit good...i can do some modification but not too drastic..
any suggestion for a 540 size from your production?

thanks Marco

The next best thing in a 540 size motor would be something like a tekin 13.5 redline. That would be my suggestion if you need sensored in a 540 can. From what I have seen, 550 motors need some chassis modification to fit.

Electrically conductive hot glue. You might be on to something there.

I made an order with you last week and received half of my order today. I was just wondering when I should expect the waterproofed brxl and 10t puller motor to ship. my order id was #7081. The armatures and brushes I received today will get me up and going for the scale event at rocas rojos this weekend.
Thanks again for doing what you do John!!!

Hi John, I recently returned 2 br-xl's to you from order #: 6854. I sent a copy of the order invoice with the esc's and a note outlining the issues. I emailed the other day from guillotinegraphics@yahoo.com to check on the status and just wanted to get an update when you get a chance

Other than that the other 2 br-xl's I have work great and handle everything I throw at them

I saw the email, and lost it somehow. ESCs are sitting here next to me, just haven't had a chance to crack em open yet. I should be able to take care of them by tomorrow before I leave for Red Rocks this weekend.

Right on John, thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I figured you'd be busy with the comp season in full swing I'll be at red rocks this weekend, Saturday for sure, so if ya get them figured out you can bring them along (if it's not too much trouble) and save the money on the shipping

I am coming. How best to do the trade? It may be crazy at the comp and hard to find me.

No worries, I use to be a bounty hunter and I can find anyone we'll hook up when you have a minute.

Keep an eye out for a big guy covered in tattoos wearing a mohawk and making everyone laugh, that's me

Thanks for all your time and help with the matter. You have a safe trip out here.

I will take the 14t puller instead of the 10t. I couldnt make up my mind when I ordered it anyways. If it would be easier I will be at red rocks as well this weekend so you can just bring it ti save on shipping. I also have a non waterproofed brxl that doesnt work anymore. Maybe you could take a look at it.

You probably need an external BEC, get a CCBEC

Thanks for the help on this. Until I can purchase the castle brushless system I'm going to stick with the stock esc on the sand scorcher. Tamiya recommends this battery http://www.tamiya.com/english/produc...1100/index.htm.

This doesnt seem to be a true lipo. Am I understanding that correctly? Can a lipo charger handle this or will I need another type of charger for this?

Thanks,
Joel

You are correct in the operation of the hyperion charger. It is the charger that I use here for my lipo duty, I have one of every model here

Lipo has higher specific energy density, higher current output, and lower resistance than other cells currently available. Best choice!

That is a lithium iron battery, slightly different than the lithium cobalt polymer we use mostly. I would shy away from them, they are expensive and not that great of a cell for the application. A lipo charger would handle it though. For the same space you could get quite a lot more runtime from lipoly.

The advantages of the lithium iron battery are best used in large vehicles, IMO.
