And a package in the mail today heat sink motor plate and 87t spur New parts installed unfortunatly the spur gear is to small and had to use a 25t pinion to get it to mesh and that just wont work for a crawler, so ill be ordering the 93t spur and a much smaller pinion this week Last edited by THX_138; 10-29-2012 at 10:29 PM. |

I had the same problem with my new spur and had to modify the motor plate to move the motor further down. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using Tapatalk 2 |

I was wanting to use a 20t pinion nut it wouldnt mesh up, my motor plate is a good bit thicker that the stock one, i guess its cause of the heatsink??? I need to get an fan too

Fyi you can get a 96 t spur, and go down to a 14t pinion (with the stock motor mount).

If u can get the larger spur from axial i would. Only 2 holes match up to bolt it to the mount but they seem to last longer then the hpi ones. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using Tapatalk 2 |

Are you sure you need the heatsink and fan? I would expect a low geared powerwheels motor on 7.2 volts to run pretty cool. Is that not the case?

When i had it in my mini summit it ran pretty warm on 20/55 gearing, warmer than i like. So id rather keep it cool an have longer runtime

I think you can get the scx spurs in a few sizes. You'd have to look them up. Tower only has a 80t and 87t. Im using a 80 and i had to modify my heatsink. I would think a 87 would work better. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using Tapatalk 2 Last edited by adamargue; 10-30-2012 at 02:02 PM. |

i have a couple 96's i think, pm me if interested, they aren't doing me any good and would fit in a regular envelope, so it'd be the price of a stamp.

Several manufacterers offer gearsin a 48 pitch. However, check out r2 trans in a ck. Gearing options are much better.
