| ![]() Godfather Scale Challenge - Spring Series Comp #2 Location: Jump Creek Recreational Park (Lower Parking Lot) - by Marsing, ID Coordinates: 43.480017,-116.923645 When: Sunday February 24th Tech-in / Drivers Meeting: 9:30am Course #1: 10:00am Course #2: Immediately after lunch (12:30pm) Course #3: Whenever we get to it ![]() Course Descriptions: We will be holding 3 course from 9:30am - around 4:00pm. The day will be scored as a timed rally. That means we will not be taking the 'placements' at the end of the day, but instead the 'total driving time', for the final score and placements. Course #1 - The 250+ Gate Long Run This course will be an endurance race for both driver and car. Extra batteries and some repair tools may be needed so pack your pockets full! Course #2 - The 100+ Gate Skill Course You will be tested over a large span of gates on a difficult course of your ability to avoid gates, obstacles and conquer skill section requirements. Tire change will be required so make sure you spare is installed and bring some tools. Course #3 - The 30-40 Gate Hill Climb 'Double Time' Course This is not a typical hill climb where we take your final gate and give you that score. You are required to finish the course unless your good with a DNF. The course will be 'up a hill'. It will be difficult and it will be quick. We will also be scoring this one in 'double time'. That means that we will be taking your time and multiplying it by two. Gates and Penalty Winches will still be worth their typical value DNF/DNC/DNS in a TIMED RALLY: If these codes are confusing to you then pay attention because they are different for a Timed Rally than with a Placement Rally. A DNF is someone that tried to compete in a course but did not complete it. That person will be placed BEHIND the people that did finish the course at the end of the day. A DNC is someone that showed up but did not compete. That person will receive a final placement of TWO over the final number of competitors for the day. A DNS is someone that does not show at all. That person will receive a score of FIVE over the final number of competitors. *If you miss this comp, don't worry. We will have a Bonus Comp between comps number 3 and 4. For information about becoming a 2013 GSC Spring Season Pass Holder please visit this link or contact us at ZNO-RC. ZNO-RC held GSC comps and bonus runs are ALWAYS FREE. However we do offer the season pass as an option. Read below for details. Last edited by ZNO-RC; 02-17-2013 at 07:14 PM. |

| ![]() Oh heck yeah! Come on out and have a great time. The courses that this club sets up are some of the best I've ran. And that's including some national events that I've attended. ![]() We are in for this! I'm hoping to bring a sitter along to help watch my two boys, so I can be more competitive. ![]() |

| ![]() I was a little unclear before and I apologize for that. The GSC comps we hold are FREE. They always have been and as long as we continue to have a great community with awesome volunteers, it always will be. We do however offer what we call a 2013 GSC Spring Season Pass as an option to competitors that want to help support the competitions and build up this awesome sport. We created the GSC Season Pass last spring as we were just beginning to dive into creating a really competitive yet fun family environment for RC Scaler enthusiasts. We at ZNO-RC, with the help of our great community of competitors, have developed a system of competition that began by being modeled after the Reno based G6 competitions and has blossomed into a very complex, ever changing, and exciting method of scaler competition that we believe to be unrivalled. Setting up and tearing down can take anywhere from 3-4 hours on a single day event to a day of setup for a camping event. We have put many, many man hours into building over 700 numbered gates as well as banners, jumps, bridges, foam structures, and even some volunteer built 'Moose Traps' (Thank You Moose). We hope to make this season even better than the last and will have some new surprises in the upcoming comps. Purchasing a GSC Season Pass will entitle you to 4 things: 1. You will receive a Custom ZNO-RC / Idaho Rock Mafia T-Shirt 2. You will be entered into the raffle at the end of the season. It takes place at the last comp of the season and you MUST BE PRESENT to collect your prize. 3. You will be in the running for the ultimate season trophy as well as bragging rights for your awesome endurance and driving skill under the toughest of conditions. 4. You will feel the pride of becoming a supporting member of the GSC competitions and will help support our comps for years to come. But, after all that it is still FREE. Non paying competitors are scored the exact same as paying competitors. Anyone who competes for the day can be crowned the winner for that day. Scores will be posted on our website as well as here in this thread. As a side note: Please understand that all ZNO-RC run GSC competitions are FAMILY FRIENDLY events. While we can’t officially enforce any specific rules of that nature as we are competing on public land, we do ask that the competitors and spectators be respectful of other people and their children. In other words: Watch the language and keep the alcohol to a minimum! Thank you and if you have any questions please feel free to post them. Last edited by ZNO-RC; 02-18-2013 at 09:04 AM. |

| ![]() We will be bringing the shirts we have left. I believe the only size we are out of is XL. In the next month or so we will be printing up some new shirts as well that will include scalers instead of crawlers. When we do that we will be sure to get some hoodies as well.
