Yea, there is no way I'll be able to do a race schedule. I'm looking for fun gtg's with cones and such. I'll be good to make it to all the comps this year let alone race too lol. Hell my sportsman truck is still in the box waiting on a chassis and parts to come.

I've been racing TC for over ten years and the two biggest classes at present are the Vintage Trans-Am or the RCGT. Both are an attempt to bring bodies that are recognizable to RC rather than the ubiquitous Stratus/Mazda bubble. I've been racing 1/12 scale and World GT all indoor season at Jtec Loft in Danville, IL. These are a gas to drive, they are quick nimble and fun but requires lots of concentration to finish an 8 minute heat with the 1/12 and not hit a wall or two. The WGT can be used in a very smooth parking lot and is rather reasonable to buy. It is very simple and easy to maintain and the Spec WGT tires last a long time even cut down to 55mm. If anyone is interested I have a Corally RDX with a box load of spare parts that is set up for VTA with the 68 Camaro body; roller and parts $125. |
