Just letting you guys know I'm looking for a set of 1.9 beadlocks. I have an ad up in the wanted section. For my tsls. Prefer steel or alum for the right price. Hoping to get them ready before Friday.

4 pole is fine. It's a bit faster motor than Jason's, but that may be ok considering the ultra low gearing in the Summit tranny.

Well, I made the trade.
I figure if doesn't work out, I can sell it... or trade it for a set of AR60's!

So, waterproofing a sensored motor.
Jason, did you put several coats of corrosion x (or whatever it is) over the sensor wire and port? Do you plug it in and then coat it, or each separately and then plug in?

I might go Zero's route and send the motor and esc into HH.
The BR-XL's have proven to be solid.

i took the motor apart, corrosion-x'd the rotor and sensors, conformal coated the sensor circuit board, and then sealed the wires with liquid etape.

you'll need 5mm pinions.

Dude.. Crawlers are ridiculously expensive. I have over $600 in a pile of parts for my new C1 truck. I'd say only 75% of the parts are there. All that little stuff adds up fast.. I only got most of the main components. Jeeeeze.

I need to make some 1.7 wheels to get some money back. I have some gearhead 1.55 enk's on the way. I want to see what they are about.

I'm tellin ya man, if you can make C1 wheels that allow use of Axial axles in C1... you'll be a superstar!

Are two coming to the bbq?

Jeeze... $1000 in ESC's for one truck.

I hope my C1 build is EPIC to justify the costs. Well, its not like I haven't been in this boat before.

You really think people will want 1.7 wheels to run axial axles in a narrow width configuration? Maybe I'll make them extra cool then.
Trey gets away with axial axles under his C1 truck.. Trey, do you or did you have any desire to have a more narrow setup? There are a lot of people running axials. I thought it was just me and a handful of others that would prefer a narrow axle on certain builds. I dont really see it as a highly desirable part.

Johnny, I'll talk to her tonight. I'm not bringing R/C's if we come.

I do think so. I bet if you started an "interest" thread, like PitBull does, you'll see I'm not the only one... but then you may have another company jumping on it.
The only problem with 1.7 is, right now, there's not a lot of tires... but the 1.55 tires look good on a 1.7 wheel.

Cool, it's just going to be Chuck and I running the rc's... I think.

Here's the plan:

Our best comp spot is about 20 min south of my place, right off 94.

We could meet there, have a run and then head back for the bbq...
around 2:30 ish, light the grills by 3, eat at 4.

That should give Zero time for his class, hoopty time to wash his unmentionables and DL plenty of time to develop a revolutionary new 1.7" wheel.
What do you think people?

I'm not going to start a interest thread. I have to make them for myself anyways. I'll just wait till they are done.

As far as your bbq goes.. Why/when are you guys going to play with r/c's? I'm not really interested in following you guys around at Foster. Whats everyone else going to do while thats happening?
We'll probably go & hang out if everyones gonna be chillin at your place but, if everyones gonna be split up.. Eh

Edit: but, don't change your plans because of me.. I haven't even talked to Jen yet. And, I dont mean to be a party pooper.. I just dont want to go out without her again to play with r/c's.. Playing with r/c's with her there isnt any better.
Also note, shes not complaining about r/c's either.. I'm just doing this because I play with r/c's a lot.

I was mainly bringing mine to get a lesson on scale points. I'm also bringing all the parts from the track that day. If we run great, if we don't that's cool too.

I would have liked to make it to the BBQ / GTG but will be out of town.
As far as waterproofing a brushless system and keeping it sencered seems to be almost impossible. My TF2 has a RSPro & 17t brushless system in it and i just Shoe-Gooed the CRAP out of it just until i got a HH set up. But low and behold it is still hanging in there after being submerged up to its windows. As far as 4 pole goes being larger then a 5.5. i would sugest the Tekin RX8 esc.

Chuck, we don't have to go to Foster but since you said you were going to be here at 12:30 and no one else can make it that early... I figured we had time to kill.

I was thinking that Chuck and I would run at Foster from 12:30 till 1:30ish then head back to my house and light the grills.

Then DL, Hoopty and Zero can come over around 3.

We'll eat at 4 because Chuck has to leave around 5.

I want to be there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Checked out a new Driver & Passanger for SHOWTIME. Was going through the Sept. 12 RCCA and read about a build called Mangler by Scale Builder's Guild (.com) it's an amazing Jeep build. Anyway guy named Matt Hicks made a driver that fits perfectly in a Wraith seat named Big Bill. He also created Wild Willy & Wild Windy. Matt said that he just finished 10 of B.B. and i am trying to get on the list. Wish i had a picture of this guy. ( Tray help me out and work your magic.)
On a side note. I have been going CRAZY thinking about getting a puppy English Bulldog (had one many years ago) and can't get it out of my mind. Seeing that i am home all or most of the time and don't do anything that it would be good for me. Looking at one but don't know it i want to drop 3g for the little guy all black with one white eye.
