If I can get off work early enough to get there in time to set up my tent before dark I will come up Friday night so I don't have to drive 3.5 hours Saturday morning. I have another question for you guys about my setup on my rig. I have a few options on motors but would like some incite on what would be best to run up there. I am running a Mamba Max Pro and I have a Novak brushless 13.5 crawler motor with 14mm rotor, Novak Ballistic 18.5 with a 17.5 high rpm stator with a 12mm rotor, a brushed Integy 35T and a stock Axial 27 turn. It's an SCX10 with an RC4WD 2 speed transmission. I will more than likely bring everything, but the 2 speed is fairly new to me and I have been having issues getting it geared right for the various motors, especially the 35T, and would like to be somewhat ready when I get there. I am aware no one will be able to tell me exactly whats best and everybody has there opinions but I would like to be on the right track when I get there. That's another reason I would like to come Friday night and have a little tech talk with you guys.

I'm bringing an extra motor. Cuz I'm sure I will blow up the one that is currently in it. Kinda plan to.
To be honest I will probably come back with all kind of broken parts

I don't know enough about brushless wind conversion to really help but I'd start with the 35t and a 14t pinion on 3s.

2s. From what I have seen around here everybody that runs 3s just blow parts up all the time. I might be underpowered but most of the time I stay in one piece lol.

Zero, are you bringing your grill Sat?
That still leaves Friday and how we're going to cook...
Sausage on a stick?

Swezy, are you bringing firewood for both nights?
That could get expensive.
I'll bring several 3hr Duralogs

Yes, I should have enough wood for both nights. I have a little Coleman gas grill we can use if we need to, otherwise wieners over the fire it is.

Er damn, if I can get off a bit earlier on Fri I may be up for camping on Friday. Not sure though.

Sat. I can bring the grill. What about food? Might be easier to do Bring Your Own Beer and Bring Your Own Meat To Share; that way we don't rely on people to bring stuff and not have the show or stuff, but if you are bringing stuff you should bring extras to share and go around.

Sounds good to me.
I can make beanie weenie again... this time I'll remember the pan and spices!

So I'll bring a couple packages of sausage, buns and beans... and a 12 pack.

Also, there was a Wallmart near by right, where Jason picked up the pan last time?

And the bar serves little pizza's.

Couple of things have/may come up.
1. Multiple trucks in the same class. Do we allow it, in the past we never really came up against this except for me talking about a 4th Class but I know a couple of the Indiana guys are used to running multiple rigs.

I vote we stick with our normal routine and allow one entry per class per person.

2. Do we allow tire changes, weighting or other mods to a truck between events?

I think I'm going to bring one of those pre-made deli sandwiches with me to the Cliffs Saturday so I don't have to eat those funky burgers again!

1. Do you mean if I run my TH for the hill climb, then I can't run a different 1.9 for the Rubicon, sled pull etc.?

2. I say yes to the tire changes and adding weight. As long as the weight is hidden, or looks scale. You can't just ductape weight onto your hood or something like that.

What's everyone else's opinion on that?

1. No multiple rigs in each class. Pick one, has to run in each event. No swapping trucks.

2. I dont see why not.

Btw our hand of god for the Rubicon as I believe the following from memory.

Max. 2 HoGs per run, otherwise a DNF.
20 points per HoG.
30 seconds time penalty per HoG. If the time penalty pushes the time beyond the timeout, then its a DNF.

You don't have your points spec'd out prior to the Rubicon I would think the truck gets none...

running your rig through the mud to gain weight is one thing, prepping your tires with simple green is one thing, changing shock preload, etc...

but adding lead weights, or changing parts for each event to gain a performance advantage is not right imo and we should not let it happen.

you should run the same setup throughout the comp.

and yeah, when we hit the rubicon if you dont know for absolutely sure what your scale points are or if you kinda think you have x amount, or if you try to scramble and calculate them real quick... you get none.

i have a sheet marked up that documents my scale points, not saying everybody should have one, but it helps.
