I can shorten or lengthen the lunette shaft at will.
And may go a little bit shorter as long as I can still back fully into a 90*

I'm also trying to locate a small, stiffer spring to replace the weak spring
locared at the rear of the lunette shaft.
The too soft coil spring was taken out of a pen.

The hitch - coupler mount placement is what actually allows the coupler's pivot point
to occur far enough rearward, so that the coupler's pivot clears the spare tire at nearly any angle.

IMO... this set up works better then "just good"
It works very well and rolls smoothly and quietly.

Backs up with no slop and the operator can make exact inputs
that will accurately control the trailer while backing.

There's absolutely no slop in the trailer connection...
like would occur if using a pintle/lunette hitch combo.

finally those long awaited Chinese alloy wheels have arrived

I've already installed 2 wheels onto the trailer...
They fit very well and look good IMO

But I will need wait for longer hubs I have ordered to arrive
in order to obtain the necessary offset for the TJ's wheel install.

I ordered both "C" and "B" lengths cause they didn't list the mm lengths.

Likely another long wait coming outta China.

For the price... the quality of these is very good.
And would cost nearly double if purchased state side.

Granted... the wait for delivery isn't quick.

And I also received and installed my replacement servo for the quad...
Very quiet and strong for this wee 1/18 scale chassis... 44.jpg[/IMG]

Should hold up much better then did the original POS. servo

Also got my Phicen seamless female figure (doll body) from China...
Looks really good... but still waiting for the head sculpt to arrive.
So I'll post pictures when she has a head.

meh... pictures of the female without a head...

At least she's quiet

If the wife or girlfriend is pounding on the front door to get in because she lost/misplaced her house keys, and the dog is scratching at the back door, who do you let in first?

The dog, at least he/she will come in, sit down, and shut up!!

Since you stated you will never buy from china again...

you can label yerself with any name
and those "slant eyed" chinese folk likely wouldn't gas

-----------

Assembling all the alloy wheels and CI DW foam inserts
using the PL TSL SX/XL tires. ( 8 total )

I had to utilize one CI tuning ring for each PL TSL XL (TJ)
But not required for the SX tires (trailer).

Fitment seems good with only a slight amount of assembly difficulty.

Had to retain the plastic Axial IDF hubs for fitment to the TJ.
But will replace those with the Chinese alloy hubs when they arrive.

Still working on finishing up the assembly of the last one...
So will likely post pictures of those completed/installed later today or tomorrow.

here's some pictures for the follow up ^

Tho' the wait for shipping from China was somewhat long...
these are very nice wheels... especially considering their low cost.

total of 8 alloy BL wheels, includes TJ / Trailer spare tires.
$ 110. STMD (plus another $ 20. for two sets of four, optional longer hubs (wheel offset).
...the savings seems to be worth the longer shipping wait.

Lol

I'll stick with the inanimate figures... ~ never hear a peep from them ~

I've tried sharing my life with both a dog and a female before...

Can't say I miss either.

but I'll agree that a dog would be easier

New wheels installed... and Corey has a head now.

So thought a little jaunt around the patio's test course was in order...

https://youtu.be/eMIj0zjithM

Also cut down the trailer's landing leg tab somewhat shorter...
and that helps reduce the hang ups in the rocks.

So far... this build has proven to work well for my scale addiction

Being the TJ/Trailer combo is 44" long it surely isn't small.

I doubt anyone could find another 1:6 scale crawler to compare with
as this is definitely a one of a kind combo/build that works very well.

And I think it's damn nice... if I must say so myself

Hopefully now I can stop throwing my money into this black hole

~ damn those addictions ~

...I realize

maybe I've been putting that off...

'cause I've become a little attached to yer green camo paint
and the offsetting colors it displays...

or because it's been raining here more often these days
and hasn't been dry or sunny enough to spray paint...

or because I've been spending way too much of my time/money
on making altercations and additions for improvement...

~ today I made up some bungee cords/straps to hold the quad on the trailer...
and working on 3D printing some ramps for loading that ~

or because I've simply become lazy about getting that done !?

I think I'll eventually get around to painting the trailer

But until that happens...

I'll thank you for your acknowledgement and support

It cost me $60 for 2 pieces of 16 ft track and seal, I got the guy down from $80 and already fixed my garage doors

I'm waiting for it too warm up and order another 25 ft of seal to fix the roll up doors in shop, no track needed only a second person too help install the seals and angle iron and bolts that hold the seals in

In the mean time I'm building 2 Rally or Street R/C's cause I can
