I found this and thinking about buying one or two of these Its a Dragon 1/6th scale British Welbike The British Paratroopers used to air drop them So they could cover ground faster I could put one in the 1/6 scale trailer with some tie downs And pull it behind the Dragon Jeep Last edited by kgb424; 08-19-2016 at 09:44 PM. |

On my old Samsung Galaxy S3, it had problems with the screen rotation when texting it kept changing the screen rotation and flipping back and forth So if I turned it off, the pictures would post sideways even if the camera was oriented right, cause of the screen rotation setting My new Samsung Galaxy S6 does the same thing if you chose the portrait setting it locks the rotation, if you use auto setting,it rotates Some times I have to use the paint program and rotate the pictures then save them Then when I post them, they are right side up and correct Its like the camera is over or under rotating them And some times, I have to resize them before they post Some time its a real pain in the ass to get the pictures to post if taken on my phone The pictures from my Sony digital camera are fine, once I figured out the size setting, there is no screen rotation I Have had no problem with the camera pics posting, I just don't always have my camera on me So I use my phone and some times have problems but got figured out now Last edited by kgb424; 08-20-2016 at 01:37 AM. |

Hey does anybody know if They make RC4WD axles or some other version of axles for the first generation Toyota axles I got normal axles in the rear axle, the front axle has the XVD shafts My problem is if you use VP/Wraith style hubs, so I can use wheels with SLW hubs, the threaded part of axle shafts are not long enough, you barely catch any threads and under power come loose If I use a thin or thick hub and a RC4WD Wagon wheel there is plenty of threads Are you not supposed to use those the VP/Wraith styles hubs and SLW wheels Cause I freshened cleaned and re-lubricated the Toyota axles and noticed the hubs |

I don't think you can use the VP/ Wraith hubs with SLW hub wheels Cause the threads section is not long enough on the RC4WD axles Not sure if the Toyota 2 axles have a longer thread section There probably all have the same lenght of threads You can use a thinner hub to get more threads, but the hub lip leaves a hole That the lip of VP/Wraith hubs go into, and with out the right hub there is a gap And I don't like that, it sucks that I can't use my Hutchinson Beadlocks with the TSS Brake drums I got to use my RC4WD Pro Tens stamped steel wheels and a thin hubs to get enough threads for the wheels to be tight I don't have this problem with SCX10 axles or Wraith AR60 axles Only the RC4WD axles are the threads not long enough Last edited by kgb424; 08-22-2016 at 09:47 PM. |

Yeah Baby I checked UPS tracking for my Jeep and its on time It's supposed to be here 8/23/2016 at the end of the day It started in Washington state At Cotswold and then went to Oregon and it left today at 11 am Its now in Sparks Nevada which is about 45 miles north of me The waiting really sucks, now that's its close Can't wait to smell the box Last edited by kgb424; 08-23-2016 at 03:28 AM. |

Yeah baby You just got to be smarter then the wheel I figured it out, use the thin Axial hub and my Hutchinson beadlocks with .475 SLW hubs and I'm getting threads To the end of the axle and seem tight, I will see what happens |

I got my Dragon Jeep and did some mock up The RC4WD Toyota axles are not wide enough, they might work with some wheel wideners But I still think the leaf springs would be too far in the chassis too work properly And the same with the GCM 4 Ten Chassis its not wide enough and it would need to be stretched The GCM 4 Ten chassis has the wrong profile for the Dragon Jeep So I guess I'm making new chassis rails for the Dragon and use SCX10 axles And four link the new chassis |

I wanted to use leaf springs and the Toyota axles I don't think they make wide axles that use leaf springs And I'm not going to spend hundreds of dollars on axles I will need another 1 to 1 transfer case and a SCX10 Transmission I got a set of 100 mm shocks from my Wraith Last edited by kgb424; 08-23-2016 at 10:15 PM. |

I need to go to Ace Hardware and buy some 3.5mm nuts that are 2mm thick And some washers the same diameter as the 7mm Wraith links Cause my 1.9'' Wraith setup with SCX10 axles, right now is 12 7/8'' or so I looked at other Dragon Jeep builds to see if they show the wheelbase One guy posted his was 13 5/16, and showed a picture of it, it looked good to me, so 13 5/16'' minus 12 7/8'' that's a 7/16 difference divided by 2 for the front and rear equals 7/32 so I'm thinking one 2 mm nut on each link front and rear If that's that not enough then maybe a nut on each end of links, Once I get some nuts and washers, I can adjust the wheel base I tried the curved rod ends in the picture and they make the wheelbase with AR60 axles and SCX10 axles 14'' long So with the short rod ends, I'm using now and some nuts and washers I can adjust the links, to center the axles in wheel wells Got a plan now and its on And the Dragon chassis will also work for Jeep Mutt I posted pictures of it mocked up in my Mutt build Last edited by kgb424; 08-24-2016 at 04:46 AM. |

You're better off getting common hardware locally. I have a 35 year old Tamiya Buggy, so I can only get certain parts from them. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk |

The Ace Hardware here, has a whole section of metric hardware and all kinds of stuff, I can only find there Home Depot has only a small section of 3.5 mm stuff Ace Hardware has 3.5 mm, 3 mm, 2.5 mm, 4/40/ 2-56 I do buy small amounts at Ace, If I need a large amount of hardware I will order from McMaster-Carr Since I only need 16 or so Ace is the place Last edited by kgb424; 08-24-2016 at 10:00 AM. |

I'm going to call in a favor and see if Mr Eastwood my old Machine shop college instructor Will let me use his band saw, if not maybe I go up to college and see if I can bullshit The new Machine Shop instructor into letting me use the band saw Too cut out some chassis rails out of the left over 1/8'' steel plate that used for 1/6th scale Humvee chassis I got enough too make 2 rails, that match the Dragon plastic chassis Last edited by kgb424; 08-24-2016 at 07:53 PM. |

I used a jigsaw that the last time and there was a lot hand filing and grinding Cause the blade fought the metal and binded up a lot and could not get as close as I wanted And the Dragon chassis has got curves too it, the band saw can cut curves So there is a little grinding and filing needed, Maybe I will cut a set for the Jeep Mutt too, will I got use of the band saw Last edited by kgb424; 08-24-2016 at 02:36 PM. |

Yeah Baby I'm glad I called Mr Eastwood, He is good people and miss helping him work on the machines, we talked a little about the Jeep build, He suggested I go up to college And use the new CNC Plasma cutter, They got in Welding Shop And tell instructor that Mr Eastwood sent me The Instructor or one his students will setup and operate the Plasma cutter and cut out my rails out of the 1/8'' steel plate The new semester starts this week and got wait until after the 1st of September so the class is going Before I go up and ask him to help me out And Mr Eastwood suggested I take the Advanced Welding class, and then be able to access the plasma cutter and welding equipment Plus they got a lot of fabricating tools, benders, press brake's for sheet metal and thin plate, they got tubing benders and tubing knotcher's I don't have any thing going except for 1/6th Dragon Jeep chassis and my 1/6th scale Jeep Mutt chassis To justify taking a spot away from some one that needs the class Cause the Machine shop got rid of the band saw, the Plasma cutter is the way too go Last edited by kgb424; 08-24-2016 at 07:55 PM. |
