a buddy gave them to me Yeaaars ago. I plugged them into my ipod but no sound :-( so either they are bad or I need a larger amp to run them
the Altec lansing portable speakers are pretty amazing, speakers are about 1"1/4 1100mah. I might them instead so I have the latest technology best sound

My other maxx/revo axle (pic below) is about 5 hrs

This puts the motor behind seat but drive shafts on right side where I will hide it with a shift console and custom B&M like shifter

Nice looking build so far. Theres allot of cool ideas going into this. I like it.

I tried running 1/4" steel heim joints for links on my super sometime back in 2004. Theres a thread that SR5Dave started with TONS of options in that area. IMHO,they are just to heavy. Running the delrin links though, will help overcome the weight of the big heims. I used thinwall C1018 tubing for mine.

The rear most tranny plate was flipped.

The tranny plate that the motor mounts to was trimmed to fit.

The tranny case was swapped for an R2 case

No other parts were used, but that coul dbe done, I just have a opening in the bottom that I will seal up with aluminum plate and silicon sealant.

The first picture is of a straight cut gear set. You'll see the difference in the second picture. Yours(the thrird picture)are straight cut. Nothing wrong with that, they are still a steel ring and pinion and when shimmed up right, they'll be really strong. I just didn't want false info floating around

Those are really nice,
Where do you get them?

Got it Rolling Thanks giving morning for the kids to play with, including me:-P
Drove it from dining room to sliding door, drove up window and slowly back down, then drove it to back porch about 15 feet total, then it BROKE ! Not even 3 MINUTES !
Damm tranny
pulled the sucker apart the gear shaft that has 2 different small gears on it one of them is ? pressed splined on so it Stripped.

Nothing Like Building like crazy so you can share with your nephew only to have a Bran new part break without even crawling, then NO way to Fix it on this beautifull 4 day weekend, Sucks :-(

Looks like these 2 speeds trannies are much weaker than a regular R2

Why not use your E-maxx tranny?
if you will lay it down and mod the motor plate for 1 motor it will fit just fine i'd guess

What material is the tube chassis?
Looks great!
