| Re: Szczerba's 2.2 TTC Truck A simple rear (less machining hassle) would suffice. If one so inclined. Guess, then I would need a matching spare tire as well. Quote:

Nice^ Broke down the truck and waiting on some new link material. Also, sent off the front bumper to Cory at TSS to come up with a new grill design. I am working on a 22ga steel cab topper. Pics later. Waterproofing the ET-3s. Fan will go back on. BEC gets it too. Using some stuff Chino let me know about. Dries hard in 72 hrs. Used it on my 2.2 XTV build too. | Re: Szczerba's 2.2 TTC Truck The "grill" hoop is welded to the bumper. 2-4 screws hold it to the rails. Pulled it off and mailed to Cory.

| Szczerba's 2.2 TTC Truck Yup, I am surprised i got my welder to weld 22ga steel sheet. Quite pleased. The cab topper will be close to the same design as before, simple. Cory is working on a few designs and shooting me pictures. These are just starting points designs. The winch area cutout may get filled in. I may move the winch further out on the bumper with a little plate to achieve that. I told Cory to do his thing for the design. Will use Axial light buckets. |

Start the cringing. It aint square. Bake some paint on it tomorrow. Finished up the 16 and 22ga heavy duty cab topper. I think it will be a little sturdy. |

| Szczerba's 2.2 TTC Truck Also, I should have mentioned, the OG cab/lowerbody was no where near square. Neither was the subframe base I had to work off of. Not that it would have been better, lol. I sent the grill to Cory at TSS for measurements to cut a new one and he promptly mailed it back. Should have back tomorrow for the reassembly. The new grill will be cut/installed in the future. Dont think so. We bounced around several ideas. This is the most recent round headlight design. Simple. Uses Axial buckets on all. It will be aplate that will be welded or bolted to the existing black hoop. Also messed with a square ish cutout but would have to source square headlight buckets or use round buckets within the square cut out. | |

| Re: Szczerba's 2.2 TTC Truck Thanks it's been alot of work, even after getting it as a stock running gear roller from Mnstrbtle. We have a TTC event this weekend. I plan a "No Mercy" attack on the courses. Playing with gearing last night and this evening. It's an hour teardown/rebuild to change a pinion gear! |

| Re: Szczerba's 2.2 TTC Truck Bed off, underhood floor panel off, electronics unrouted, Cab topper off, cab off, subframe off, one front lower link off to get the driveshaft off, trans /motor out. I am getting quicker than an hour now. I swapped to a 3000kv motor but it does not have enough low end, even geared 61/11 but it is tolerable with some radio tuning on the THEXPO channel. I found an 8tooth 5mm bore 32p pinion and ordered one but It would probably be best to get a ~2500kv motor and gear back to 58/11. The plastic spur cover was making it an issue but now I am not running the spur cover due to the 61t spur gear. I did make a stryene block panel to keep some debris hitting the spur. It's a metal spur, so I am not too worried about debris but still wanted to make a panel for some protection. Just some stryene and zip ties. soldering accessory plugs for winch, lights, etc on and final waterproofing stuff now .. Last edited by Szczerba; 03-11-2015 at 09:04 PM. |

Boards are coated with the SR spray and a light coat of liquid electrical tape. Holmes direct BEC/servo splitter. MRC ESC for winch controller. ET-3s loaded up with bec and 3 extra plugs for accessories. |
