Hey now! I gotta work during the day hours. But, yeah. I’ll try to get some pics. Overview Nothing special, really. If You look closer at the rear axle, You’ll see that the drive shaft and axle are now tillted somewhat, making the drive shaft into a less acute angle. Tamiya ballstuds fit fine in the rear bridge when You drill the upper link-connection on the axle with a 2.8mm drill. You můst pre-drill, otherwise the m3 thread will split the rear bridge. Despite having to do a tiiiny bit of drilling, the ballstuds fit like they were made for it in the frame. Nylon nut on the outside, and voilŕ. Last edited by Jay-Em; 12-17-2018 at 09:06 AM. |

Well my second Yota came today, kit version truggy style, very impressed with the packaging, I've seen a lot of unboxing videos of these where the box is all smashed and parts are loose and rolling around in the box. The box was wrapped in a thick foam wrapped in a thick plastic, all parts were sealed in separate bags in the box. My metal axle upgrade kits came yesterday so stuff is starting to trickle in. I'll get started on these after Xmas |

So my ESC's haven't came yet and I've been wanting to try my steering setup before I tear it all down to paint the chassis, I decided to hook up my stock TRX ESC lol, so I soldered the leads to the motor, reinstalled the bed, put two sided tape on the ESC and the rx, stuck them in the bed with a battery. Now picture this lol, a cabless mini Yota running 3s! Here's what I learned, steering setup works great, I think I've got all the steering it's capable of with the stock parts and no bump steer, the stock brass ring and pinion that come in the newer RTRs work well, I shimmed both front and rear and they run smooth. Since I was running the TRX ESC I put it in crawler mode and run the crap out of it, full throttle starts, full throttle forward to reverse and full throttle to complete stop on 3s, now granted it's the stock 130 motor but I couldn't get anything to break. I've got two of these trucks, the C24 RTR and the C14 kit so I'm going to do a little experiment, I'm going to limit the upgrades to the C24 to only the 30amp ESC, 180 motor, and the MG90s servo and the C14 will get fully upgraded and we'll see how long the stocker will last. Actually I picked those a couple weeks ago for the dimensions and the jst plug, those small ESC’s we are running in these have jst plugs so I figured it would be easiest. I need to look and see if there are any bigger that will fit with a jst plug. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk | |

| Re: Kincer's mini Yota Stock 6v and 1.8 amp LiIon from a Heng Long T90 tank. 6v is empty in less than 20 min. Terrible, low-power old-fashioned NiCad. Car feels utterly sluggish too with NiCad. LiIon runs for at least an hour without voltage drop. Fits fine in the battery compartment. Disadvantage: The LiIon blew the gears in the axles to bits. All metal now. No problems whatsoever. |

I ran the truck last night with 1/10 scale Traxxas TRX4 esc and 3s with the stock 130 motor and whooped on it for 20 minutes and all the stock drivetrain held up even the plastic driveshafts lol, so it should be good on 2s with the 180 motor. Please note this came with brass diff gears but they still need a small thin washer to shim them and make the mesh nice.

I highly recommend these wheel weight kits, around $15 for a set of 4. Fit excellent, found them on eBay in the WPL section. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F254038288395 Last edited by kincer; 12-29-2018 at 11:57 AM. Reason: Added link |

They must have made some improvements to these trucks, I used my TRX esc, two faced taped to the servo with rx taped to that and a 2200 3s lipo ziptied to the frame in the middle. I ran this thing hard for an hour and nothing broke, the axles and driveshafts didn't spin loose, the plastic driveshafts didn't snap, the stock 130 motor smelled a little but kept on going. It's totally tore down for paint now. Updates next week.
