Honestly, I don't advise making your own. I tried. And it worked. But was not fun. The crimper is like $25 on it's own. That pack of 6 harnesses was $8.99 Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk | |

ok, so long term update..... I put my mil stoone spacers back on.... I did notice that my RC4WD wheels inside of the hub rubs on the rear screws sticking out of the backing plate face also noticed becaue I am running the mil stoens with the barrel nuts that I had to make sure to properly enlarge the axle hole in my wheels. they weren't enough, and actually made my wheels not sit flush on the hub and they wobbled like crazy. I reamed them out, and they are much better and I realize I really need to upgrade my servo, I can't turn if it isn't moving |

so, I just trimmed my body quite a bit anyways, while I was in there, I was looking @ some stuff..... has anyone mounted the shocks directly to the frame and not to the shock towers? Last edited by jimbo74; 12-10-2019 at 11:55 AM. |

| Re: jimbo74's SCX24 Deadbolt Love my RPM drivers! Great looking truck Jimbo, but I like the look better without the wheel wideners. Wiha and Wera drivers have been good tools ime, here's a great place to buy them if they arent' available locally. https://www.kctoolco.com/Wera/ Quote:

| Re: jimbo74's SCX24 Deadbolt I did it with the rear shocks, moving the upper mounting point forward, but not the front

ok, so I did some more modding based off of responses I got on FB..... truck has like no compression up front now, it's all droop. rear still has a little bit. I moved the top of the shock mounts even mroe inward toward the center Last edited by jimbo74; 12-14-2019 at 12:25 AM. |

Just ran it outside. It crawls way better. I am rubbing the middle link with my driveshaft though up front, it chewed into the Y link on 1 side. And my tires still rub like crazy @ the back of the front wheel well @ the firewall. So I want to trim that back some more. Maybe to the door. The fronts are going to look like a flat fender Jeep, lol |

Looks great man! A little tire rub never hurt anyone. Hell, I had rub on the front frame rails with my 1:1 Jeep and it never hurt anything. I relocated the rear shocks on my SCX24 the way you did but haven't done the fronts yet. I think I tried but something was preventing me from being able to. I just don't remember what. I did swap places with the battery mount and ESC mounts so I could distribute more weight up front, but I don't remember why I couldn't leave my front shocks mounted to the frame rather than the shock mounts. Glad to know it works, though.

I have heard of adding an o ring or 2 to my shock body above the collar and spring to get a little more pre-load, what size? And also adding an o ring to the shock eyelets to help cut some of the slop, what size there as well? |

Mine was that way and I had to solder the Rc4wd in that way too. No big deal. Ben |
