I've been waiting to see a pair of Blackwells go in a build as well.

I've come real close to pulling the trigger on a pair myself, they just have a slightly steep entry fee is all. 5 bones for a pair of axles is a little bit of a stretch for my budget right now.

And this build will have 3 of them. Sick!! This should be interesting...

i would have done a clod chevy mudder with these axles and a black stamped bl's and roc locks a long time ago and got a new axial sxc-10TR by now if i had some spare cash to dump, but i dont!

Im glad I can show off these killer axles, I to have been in love with these axles since I saw them in the concept stage. I will be getting the other one very soon so stay tuned. And as for building the body I am super pumped about it as well but Im not going to jump in and just start building it with out good measurements first. I want this to be the most scale rig I have built..

here are some suspension photos. it was hard to take good shots of the Deuce rear setup due to the shop van box, so I took some pics of the 5-ton rear setup for some additional reference.

Deuce Front

Deuce Rear

5-Ton Rear

If I can get better lighting on the Deuce tomorrow I will. I may back in onto the concrete and crawl under if you need the extra detail.
I'll get another straight on shot and take some more measurements of the cab too.

the factory deuce tires are NDT 9.00 x 20 which are 37" tall-ish
there are michlein radials in 11.00 x 20 which are about 42" tall and look like the mud pluggers. I can take pics of those tomorrow.
There are Michlein radials in 14.00 x 20 which are about 48" tall and look like mud pluggers, I can take pics of them too.

The 52" tires you're thinking of are xzl michleins 16.00 x 20 which are 54" tall and look like rock crushers.

michlein xzl

when you compare the sidewall height to the truck you posted,

it looks like the tires on it have less sidewall, and when looking at the tread pattern I'd say they are the 14.00 x 20 Goodyear tires which are also 48" tall.
I can take a picture of them tomorrow also and we can compare.

the trucks look very similar, but the 5-ton is larger in a lot of dimensions which is what makes me think the deuce is riding on 14.00 x 20's instead of the 16.00 x 20's

The truck the original poster wants to recreate is owned by Hot Rod Deuce on the SteelSoldiers site. Here is a link to the thread on the truck.

Below is another link, the truck has 16 20's for tires. I believe he stretched the frame 48" also, but all of the info is in the 2 links.

The tires on that truck are 16x20's, I posted info about the original build of this truck approx 4 days ago but it was never put in the post. Apparently a link to all of the build up pics was not acceptable.
The owner of the trucks handle is Hot Rod Deuce on the Steel Soldiers site, it is located in the Deuce Hotrodding forum. It is a very cool piece.

Just tried again and it says it needs to be approved by the Moderators, I even tried it without the www. Seeing as the first one was never posted, I doubt the most recent one will be.
