Not sure. I just saved the link I saw in another post. They offer the S/S and the brass.

Holly Crap . This is a kick a$$ build. I am hooked. I have always wanted to build something like this, but getting the funds together for those axles is a little on the hard side. Maybe I sould sell my super to fund the build???

Keep up the great work. This is awsome.

Well still havent ordered any bolts for the links, but I did order the other rear axle and I managed to build the bed from some card stock!

I also had time today to start the cab from card stock as well.

If its as slow at work tomorrow as it was today I should make some good progress...No money but some progress on my toy truck........Im all screwed up!!!!

Thanks Dirty!
I did get a little time to work on it this morning. I built the top from copper plate, I formed it around a wooden buck and heated pounded cut and soldered till I ended up with something that resembled a top!

The buck

After alot of hammering ,heating, soldering and cutting.

It looks alittle beat up due to all the hammer forming , but I think I like the look of it!!!

definitely fantastic work, all of it. Impressed with all the work that went into the spring hangers and other small hardware. Crazy! This will be amazing when done.

Not a huge update, but its an update! I built the sides and rear of the cab up and their all brazed in.
As well as a dash and an under support for it.

Started on the windshield frame. still have to make the center support .

And heres what it looks like all slapped together.

Just wondering if anyone has a good idea on how to add body line details to a flat panel??

Depends on what your trying to achieve, but you could use solid copper wire or brass rod. Different sizes will get you different effects. Plus you could easily mold it in with soder or brazing rod.

By the way, that is some of the nicest metal work I've seen. I've been in the sheetmetal trade for 24 years, I would know!

This work is really awesome!
You did the first body drawing in 1/10 - do you have a pic of the 1/12?
Just interested to see the dimensions.
Btw - which scale are the axles (width and housing) - more 1/10 or 1/12???

Actually I ended up going with 1/10 scale on it..The axles are realy close to 1/10.
