Drivetrain is complete. Switched to a Holmes Hobbies 20t Rock Racer motor. I moved my GR7 back on the chassis so the driveshaft would clear the Jeep body without cutting the interior. At full flex the link just makes contact to the bottom of the GR7. A steering servo and servo winch still need to fit under here. Unless I go with a scale winch on the front bumper. |

I was able to buy a few things during the RPP Hobby black Friday sale that Corey put on. I have never seen anything like it and thank Corey again for being the best at what he does. True pride of ownership. The parts I grabbed were a CC BEC and a CC BEC Pro. The Pro will run the two rear 7955s and the regular BEC will run the RX and front 7955 plus the servo winch.

Diggin this build A jeep 6x6 is something you don't see, good work! I'm up against the same suspension design issue with the mid and last axles on a build, it can be chore to say the least Quote:

Looking at my winch options I decided to build my own. I needed a bumper mount due to limited under body space. I also wanted to have the ability to free spool. Here is what I came up with. Check out the how to. Enclosed servo winch(645mg) |

Well the task of fitting the components and electronics has begun. I think I have a layout that will keep all the electronics dry and out of sight. Here is my final list of electronics. BRXL waterproof Holmes 20t rock racer motor CC BEC Pro CC BEC Pro Hitec 5685 Hitec 5685 Hitec 5685 Heyok 2 position winch controller Heyok 2 position winch controller Bulldog winch 645mg servo winch Heyok Dual axle rear steer controller I will have a quick access cover to the battery box but will only be able to conceal a 3s 1300mah battery. I figure one G6 or OTC will take 5 batteries to complete. |

Truck looks like its going to be a blast to drive! I like your winch free spool Idea, I have been making them to but have been making my own spool and dr rod on my lathe and pinning it under the bearing. Yours is a great Idea thanks for posting. I`m going to give that a try! Keep up the great work on the 6x6 subscribed. |

Mounted up my electronics boxes. 5 of them to be exact. The two CC BEC Pros up front, the spot in the middle will hold the battery. And the two rear steer servos. These boxes will hold the winch controllers as well as the rear steer controller. The boxes still need to be securely mounted. I like this method to protect the servo. I use this method on my S10 and it has worked perfectly using a 7955. Never overheated even running 5+ hours in an OTC and taking a driver of the day in a G6. I like the profile it gives. Mounted up my rear bumper and spare. Swapped out the front bumper. This one reminds me of the one I had on my 1:1 TJ. My next step is to fab a full 4 sides of a bed with one single strip of metal. I will use Dingo flares that will be cut to fit giving matching looks and coverage as the front wheels. |

A Saturday afternoon and some 1/4" brake line and I have my links complete. Still need to cut to length the steering links to complete the 3 axles. |

This is a VERY cool rig! Just found it and can't wait to see it finished. Hopefully I'll get to see it this summer when I come down for Axialfest or a G6.

I will have a free weekend with no wife and kids so I figured it was time to get serious and finished up this rig. I hope to have it ready for a shake down run on Sunday. Still need to 1. Mod my Traxxas remote for the rear steering(ch3), winch(ch4) and lights(ch5). 2. Fab up the bed and mount the flares 3. New cage for the cab 4. Make or modify a front CMS 5. Wire and secure electronics 6. Make steering drag links 7. Program and calibrate ESC, Servos, BECs, rear steer controller Not too much to do. Im waiting on my batteries and some switches that should be here on Friday. This should be no problem |

Traxxas 5ch radio is all set. Since this is my first rear steer rig I don't know my preference on the control. So this is my first layout. The 2 position thumb rocker switch will select left and right for the rear servos on Ch3. The rocker switch is only active when the rear push button is engaged. When the push button is disengaged the servos will return to center. This will allow locked in rear direction with centering at a push of a button for when it's time to hammer down! The front red momentary push button will operate the Heyok 2 position winch controller on Ch4. The front black momentary push button will operate my lights through a Heyok light controller on Ch5. Not bad for a 5ch RX/TX for about $50. |

Not even the weekend and I have been able to get a few things done. Just finished up my front CMS mount. Also made a tierod for each axle. The sad part is after I get all dialed in and running I will need to disassemble the whole rig for paint. |

Well I caught a flu and have been fighting a 102 degree temp. No major work done on the rig but I did manage to test and program the electronics. The modified Traxxas radio works perfect with the Heyok rear steering controller. I can't wait to actually run the electronics in the rig!!!!
