Love the cage work and how it slopes towards the rear. It went from a somewhat docile to very aggressive over night it seems. The fender flares and chopped off plastic definately added a low slung look to the profile. My favorite detail...the last pic with the light/rock gaurd over the light.

No panhard bar, as it is a 3 link setup with true coil springs. There is no side to side axle movement and no noticable bump steer.

I'll try the stock 35t motor and will use a Holmes Hobbies BRXL with a Castle BEC pro to power lights and whatnots.

many thanks

Do you think that the trasmission is good for an hard use, like axial trasmission?
or also for a soft scaler use?

im interested to buy a 8x8 or rc cross

Not sure on the transmission yet either. Havent ran the truck. I think it would hold up for light scaler use. The axles have been known to break with light use but not all of them.

TLT compared widths, only 1/4" wider with same wheels/tires/foams!
Since these can be built as pass throughs, they will be a good option for Cross RC replacements. The cross rc wheels have alot of offset so going a narrower offest wheel, The tlts will work fine.

How do you think that coil spring set up will actually work out on the trails? Seem consistent?

From my research guys were saying the black and red stock springs were too soft, so I ordered the yellow firm
Springs at time of purchase. When I ordered those, I got an email from StellaModels saying the metal shock frame brackets were recommended for those springs, so I got those.

I just got through driving it around the shop floor over some
Minor tire height obstacles and it worked really well. I am glad I cut and re-boxed back in the backside cab fender areas. Makes for much more clearance once the front tire goes over an obstacle.

The front tires tuck and have plenty of cab clearance underneath. The stock axle steering throw was quite surprising as well. I am using a HiTec 7954SH and a 1" AL servo arm. The drag link is at an angle to the steering link but it doesnt seem to hurt the steering. More pics on the steering in a bit.

Thanks James. I pulled the rear cage lines and bed from this 1:1 below. The slopeness does make the man cab look alot meaner than just a militray work horse. Those are the lights and light guards that came with the kit.

I think if I was to build a 6x6, one of these kits will be the way to go for sure! It'll be good to see how it goes once its all finished up

With the cool scale factor and quality of 90% of the parts (potential axle shaft support issues) I am not afraid to recommend it to you. It was $643 shipped with what you see in the first post and I think it's really worth it. Only gripes I have are they need to correct the axle shaft support mistake and make a 2.2 1/10 or 1/9 scale version!

Don't worry, it will get drove, I don't build static shelf models.

Yep, like I said, the Cross RC wheels have quite a bit of offset, so if different wheels were used, you could get narrower with the TLTs, if needed. They'll be fine, even using the Cross RC wheels.

Edit

Also, the TLT axle housings can be cut/trimmed to fit the Cross RC spring mounts. I am not 100% sure it will work but measuring it out, it looks like it would fit with some axle housing dremeling and a new hole or two.

....

Ok, when I want to let her go, I don't wanna hear, "I don't have the PayPal funds right now for that".

I wanna build a 2.2 version one day. May gin up some funds for the 1/10 RC4WD big daddy MAN.

A little bit of awesome here. Not much though. Light mounting and interior chopping.

Rearmount panel and light buckets.
