| LED Light Bar installing help/clarification
Ok, I know how to use search, and I looked, and I found some answers I guess, but I'm still fairly stumped. I know it's a total newbie thing and probably gets asked a million times, but this is my first rig and I've never done most of this stuff before. I want to buy a light bar, not build my own or anything fancy like that. I have the Futaba 3PRKA tx/rx combo for my Wraith. So, I have a spare channel to use on my receiver and my radio has a toggle switch on it. When I get a light bar is it as simple as plugging it into my receiver and boom, I can I switch it on/off from my radio? I'm feeling like the answer is no but I'm still not sure, and most of the stuff I come across in forums is dealing with people building all their own LED stuff. I just want the light bar for the front, don't care about reverse lights and all that. I also really don't understand the BEC thing. I mean, I get what it does, but I don't get where it comes into play as far as installation. Thanks for any help, much appreciated, sorry for the newbiness. |

Yes Al with heyok will have what you need for the light bar setup switch wise, most light bars run off 12v (3s battery) so you need to supple that voltage to the light bar, but you will need a controller to turn on and off the light with your remote (ask Al or look up heyok in the vendor section) and he also has a no brainer bec and description of what it does.

Thank you for mentioning me. Sure, send me a PM and I will help get you going. If you want a preview, this is the part that will let you turn your 12 volt light bar on and off remotely: RC Lighting Control Using External Power This is the BEC that was mentioned: No Brainer BEC Al |
