Hopefully I can test them out tomorrow before the rain starts.

These do look good. I'm in the market for some new Tarmac tires my self and, I'd love to know how they held up.

I've run a few packs through my car with the Proline Road Rage tires, and they seem to get much better wear than the stock tires. However, they have much more grip, in fact, they don't want to break loose even with a 3s battery.

Thanks guys, I definitely like how they look. I agree Stburr they seem to have much more grip. Although I haven't properly tested them because my roads were covered in leaves. I might get some time on Thursday to drive it some more. Can't wait!

Did the Street Fighters cause the car to Traction roll any?

Are these the wheels you used? ::HPI RACING::

I found these HPI M Compound Rally Tire Super Nitro RS4 (HPI4475) | RC Planet by HPI. I wounder if they will wear better.
Street Fighter tires are sc tires, and are too big.

I'm using Proline Road Rage tires. I haven't tested them much, but so far I have traction rolled the car yet.

The HPI tire looks to be too short, at only 76mm tall (stock is 93mm tall).

What the flub? I keep calling crap the wrong stuff!

I'll probably pick the Road Rage's and The HPI WR8 wheels. That should look good With the WR8, DRX, etc hopefully they will start making more wheels in diff styles. Some thing like the OZ LEGGENDA would be killer. Oz Racing - OZ Racing - RACING - LEGGENDA

I don't think the HPI WR8 wheels will work with the Road Rage tires, they're too small.

The WR8 wheels are 1.9s... Much smaller then stock DRX wheels.

So basically HPI Super RS4 rims are only option if someone wants to use other than stock wheels ? Kyosho opts 1:8 byggy wheels but they look hideous.
Proline Dirt hawgs look like they could take some multi-surface abuse.

You can mount the Proline Dirt Hawgs and Road Rage tires on the stock DRX wheels.

They make two WR8 wheels. A 1.9 and a 2.2, it's the same for the tires.

2.2 Ken Block tire: Gymkhana Tire D Comp (2.2"/57x80mm/2pcs) - 109747 at HPI Europe

2.2 Rally wheel: Wr8 Tarmac Wheel White (2.2"/57x35mm/2pcs) - 108075 at HPI Europe

That's good to see. I have hope now that Hpi will release the DC wheels in 2.2.

They are listed as coming soon, but they are only 80mm tall (stock DRX tire is 93mm tall).

The Kyosho Stock wheel is 63mm x 35mm. Hpi 2.2 is 57mm x 35mm.
Kyosho stock tire is 93mm x 35mm. Hpi is 80mm x 35mm. I want 2.2 DC wheels.

Looks like they are 1.9's for the off road tires - with a taller sidewall. And 2.2's for their 'on road' tires which have a smaller sidewall. Similar overall height, whcih is much smaller than the DRX.

I've had my DRX traction roll on the stock tires with 3S. Just depends how hard you are on it (mainly doing tight donuts).

Yes, I used the HPI 2.2 Mesh wheels (from the old Super Nitro), but any 2.2 wheel should work with the Pro-Line Road Rage or Dirt Hawg tires, including the DRX stock wheels. HPI's M compound is for medium and is good for high traction surfaces both on and off road. I had a smaller version of those knobby tires on my HPI RS4 Rally (not sure which compound) and the knobs don't last very long on the road.

We should make a Wheel & Tire sticky for our rally section.

WoW! that's nuts, I,ve yet to have mine roll. The Mesh wheel looks good and they come in grey. The only problem I've ran in to with other 2.2 wheels is the off set. JConcepts has some cool ones but, I think they will stick out like crazy. As far as the sticky thread I think it's a great idea! I was also thinking about using the Pro-Line Drit Hawgs but, not the rear ones. The front ones are only 1.38'' wide. The narrower tire would bit but, not to much.
