Very nice find, I love the TA chassis. I've got quite a few builds on it, everything from crawlers to drifters to trophy trucks. Add bearings, keep the power reasonable and it'll last a long time.

Check out this Bling Bling

There all Alloy and some are beadlock

I like the purple ones and the BBS style ones

And the silver and black ones and the 5th ones are old school racer

I'm thinking the 3rd or 4th ones would look bad ass

With the Sand Scorcher Body

Hey Robrick

I got 2 sets of the drivers for the mini trophy

So I took some pictures, the drivers are 2 pieces that over lap each other,

There is 2 screws that screw into the spur gear cover on the transmission to hold them in place

And there is tabs on the front of the drivers and in front of the cage, there are slots for the tabs go into

Hey Robrick

Ebay has the un-painted drivers sets, that come with the stickers I think

I bought the second set painted with the stickers already in place

You might be able to find a painted set maybe

I bought mine a few years ago

I'm having a really hard time finding a car body with a 12.3'' wheelbase for the HPI Mini Trophy

I have been looking at 1/8th scale bodies and not finding nothing with a 313 mm or 12.3'' wheelbase either

Did see some 1/8 scale bodies that had a 11.5'' wheelbase but not finding anything

Also been looking at hard bodies and other plastic cars and again come up with nothing

Don't want a truck body or short course truck body

Who know that a Traxxas Titan 12 turn that is a 550 size motor, fits in the TA chassis

It longer than a 540, I thought the 550 was bigger in diameter its not,

Will have too see if the 550 clears the Sand Scorcher body

I checked it's at my local post office, so it should be here later today

I ordered my upgrades

Bearing kit to replace plastic bushings

Main shaft to run more power

Bevel gear sets for the differentials

CVD's front and rear

Motor Mount to use a brushless motor

Diff grease and plastic grease

Now I can run brushed or brushless with the upgrades

You know just got to be smarter then what your working on

With the 10'' wheelbase the body was off and didn't look right to me

The genius part is I flipped the rear swing arms and it shortened the wheelbase to 9.2''

Yeah Baby now the body looks dam good

Need a some wide rims and tires for the rear and tires with more sidewall

I'm thinking I need narrow front wheels and wide rear wheels

Cause the Bling Bling wheels fits inside the front fenders and looks a lot better than sticking out

Like they do with the Axial wheels and the HPI wheels

Found some 20mm wide front wheels and found some 31mm or 34mm wide rear wheels

But can't find a matching set, the fronts are different from the rear wheels

I figured out how to make it work with out having to use wide rear wheels, I used my 11 mm wheel wideners

And now I can use normal 26 mm wide wheels and use street tires or slicks or the hard plastic drift tires

I can't decide if I like the 24 mm wide wheels which is the Bling Bling, or the 26 mm wheels which are the black Axial wheels

Again the 26 mm is more common and a lot more options

Doesn't look that bad actually with them sticking out passed the fender some

Again need to be smarter then the RC your working on

It had its first hard impact and broke the ball stud out that connects the front right upright too the steering arm

It went exit stage right on me under throttle going from wet asphalt to puddles and it power slid into a curb and it was done for the day

I found the dog bone easily cause I let off before impact and rolled to a stop quickly and that is the only thing that broke
