For those of you that don't have access to machining tools what are you using to clearance the axle for the servo? And how did you go about cutting? I've got a dremel and some carbon fibre reinforced disks which I think I'll be using for the procedure.

I would recommend the high speed cutting tool....not the cutoff disks. I used one similar to this:

Although, mine wasn't pointed....it was cylindrical. I picked up two....one large and one small.

Looks good. If I may make a suggestion......put washers on your bolts (the one that bolts the servo horn to the drag link and the one that bolts the drag link to the tie rod). If the link pops off of the ball, the washer will hold it on.

I have had zero overheating issues with mine also. I am running a long drag link over to the knuckle because i didn't like how the arm moved back and forth. It seems a little smother and more precise. And i run a little brass spacer to get a little toe out. I like it toed out better than toed it

First off let me apologize for not staying on top of things around here, I'm a forum/pic whore so losing forum time is killing me, but Babies come first, and this damn little boy is doing all he can to drive me insane.

Thanks Jeremy for looking after the folks. It's amazing what the servo strength can do to these rod ends, in testing I've had them rip the rod end off the ball, bend screws, and even bend the rod end.

I will be going on vacation, the wife just got her vacation time moved so it's kind of surprise. So next week I will be at home on vacation and any free time I get will go into the Raptor V2 Chassis, early tests look very promissing, the break over is insane.

I can always be reached at r7r@att.net, just keep in mind during the summer I have my 3 kids with me 24/7 so I've always got them under foot while I'm trying to make parts.

got a few battery packs run through my bully with this steering set up and i broke 2 revo rod ends on my drag link. i am running washers so the end wont come completely off the ball. has anyone used them metal rod ends for the drag link? i might see if i can modify the ones from my old tie rod to work.

I got mine installed and it went on easy. I found that you have to bolt up the servo but leave it loose till you get every thing tight. I will try it out tomorrow and post up on how it works .

I just ordered this the other day and I have noticed it looks like everybody is running the robitronics servo arms on them. Is this correct? Do you need the long or the short and where is the best place to get them?

You can get a Racers Edge clamping servo horn from CKRC for $12. They are super beefy Just look under servos in the electronics section.
