Is it just me or do others think Chell is pretty hot for an articulated figure? Whoever sculpted that chest and the escaping strands of hair knew what they were doing.

Nice mini minis.... sort of like a miniature miniature golf course... but different.

Haha yeah that is true! Although she's not quite as freely moving as I would have liked. The jacket around her waist restricts her leg movements. I'm thinking of buying another one of her to use as a driver or passenger in a 4x4 and may try trimming some of that off to increase the range of movement. But yes, she is one of the better figures out there for details.

On a different but similar topic.....I just got a 1/6 or 12" female figure for another build that is super detailed. She's from Triad Toys, amzing detail and articulation in all the right places. Who knew?!!!....there's another whole group of hobbyists out there who get into just as much detail for these figures as we do here. Check out the forum section at onesixthwarriors.com to see what I mean.

Thanks everyone for your comments.

I got a Chell today based on your feedback...agree...well sculpted. The babe out of Jonah Hex is pretty good as well. My wife has her as a driver.

Cool....I'll have to check her out Mr IQ.

Here's something I've been working at on and off for the past couple of months, but finally making some good progess now.....

Now repeat.....many times!!!

It's a start....should look good hanging from the roof or sitting on top of the shelving.

Well I haven't played with dolls
since the middle 60's... (GI Joe in my childhood)

Never had the opportunity to do stop/motion video
of me lighting Joe on fire !? Lol
Was before the digital age.

But damn if this doesn't make me want to.
Well... I probably won't
and will instead just follow along with your build.

but I must say... your attention to detail is amazing !

Does this miniature modeling leave you any time left for real life ? Lol

BIG NEWS!!!

SAM'S GARAGE IS NOW ON FACEBOOK!

Search for "Sam's Garage". You'll know it when you see it, the one with the rusty car!

Yes I've dipped my toe that little bit further into the 21st century and created a page just for Sam's adventures! There's not much there at the moment, but i will be adding most of the stuff you see here and maybe even some extra stuff.

Please like and share!

Thanks guys.

WHAT THE........????

I was messing around with Sam's Book Of Spells and made it disappear....and now I can't get it back!!!

Fortunately, i had the piece of mind to build 2 of everything as I was going as a backup, just for such an emergency. So I thought what a great opportunity to set it up somewhere else! So out into the lounge room it goes!

Pride of place!

But seriously, Leah my wife is awesome in that she is more than happy to have stuff like this in and around the house and not just shoved out in the garage.
It felt kinda like the end of an era and the start of another with the move. I'll have so much space back on my desk now!!

This was a bit of a nail biting time!!

So yeah, It's been a big weekend for the garage!

I hear that bandwagon comin' and just had to jump on!!! Thanks for the inspiration Doug!!

I thought I'd show off my own realistic looking money too!! What do you guys think?

For some reason, Chell can never find any coffee cups in the house anymore........

And who's the clumsy sod that left that there?!!!

Dude this is some sick scale building
Old Sam needs to get busy on that old ford so him and Chell can get to riding around.

This is just amazing mate, well done. I'm making a diorama at the moment and have drawn a lot of inspiration from your work. Here's mine so far:

LOL...Yeah i try to squeeze it in there somewhere! It's an obsession for sure!

So Sam made another trip to the LHS today for some much needed SRT (that's Styrene Replacement Therapy!). Fred's been good to him over the years!

And into the "Big Box of Styrene" it goes...

And Sam's tip for today: "Never throw your scraps away....NEVER!"

Good advice Sam!

Chell: Hey Sam, have you read this article about Wolf Creek RC Park? What an amazing place!! I bet I would fit in so well there. Too bad I don't have a rig to drive.....cause someone won't finish it for me!

And I hear the owner is quite the enthusiast and....how do you say.....oficionado!!!!

Sam: BAHHH!!...I'm still waiting on parts.

Chell: Ooohh and I bet he's a looker too!!

Chell: "Hey Sam, I found this stuff buried under all your junk. Should I chuck it or what?"

Sam: "HELL NO WOMAN!!!.....That's all my GCM gear! Thank God you found it all, I've been looking for this stuff for sooooo long! Now I can get moving with the YJ."

Chell: "And once again....I'm left with a pile of junk that still doesn't run while his projects take over!"

Thanks Josh.

Some more behind the scenes stuff. Whipped up a kind of a "lid" to sit over the top to hide the crappy cardboard and all the LED wiring. Some paint or stain will finish it off nicely.
