So now the stock Dingo gets -2 for the gage? What about cages for bodies such as the rc4wd D90 and Cruiser that have the rear seats facing inward? Do you get three row points for an exo cage like this? The rules state: Quote:
But only if the "front and behind" has to do with the orientation of the vehicle. If the orientation of the seats is what determines "front and behind" then the exo would only qualify for two rows instead of three. | |

Your making this more difficult than it needs to be. That is a 2 row exo, number of seats and orientation make no difference.

*EDIT* Unfortunately I looked at this quickly on my phone this morning. I thought it was a hex mounted weight like the beef patties, there are no legal bolt on knuckle weight allowed. I think it looks reasonable, but unfortunately it doesn't matter what I think. Rules are rules. Last edited by War Pig; 12-01-2016 at 02:07 PM. |

Looks like a weight bolted to the knuckle to me. A drum rotates

You know what.. I said to myself I'd just let it go but. I can't, especially since the new rules aren't out yet and this might not get clarified. This says "no comp style knuckle weights" What defines comp style? I don't see a definition.. I can argue that this is a "scale style" knuckle weight. I might even be as confident to tell you I deserve points for it for an non functioning scale item. (Brake rotor / drum and caliper) As the rules are written this is legal, as is taping a bunch of wheel weight all over my axle and servo. As are those crazy knuckles. So.. why can't I use my scale knuckle weights, your rules say I can't use comp ones. Those were designed to fit a scale knuckle and detailed as is can be argued to look scale. The rules don't say I can't use knuckle weight. Just says no "comp style" knuckle weight... Last edited by XSRCdesign; 12-08-2016 at 03:13 PM. |

All knuckle weights are comp style. BTW, how is that a functional scale item? Does it stop your truck? 😂 |

I have to say XSRC does make a good point if we are looking at the rules as written and in the "spirit of scale". I would allow it and give points. Especially if the "comp style" definition remains in the wording of the rules. I think this is a case where the wording of the rules allows for something that looks scale, and would keep ugly comp style Weights out. I do hate the taped on Weights and retarded knuckles... to me they don't look scale. Thanks again to all those on the rules committee. Great job guys. |

No problem bud. These guys do a great job on the rules. It's such a thankless, pain in the ass job(I used to sit on the rules committee for our drag race series).

The way it was explained to me. Those weights do not spin as a drum or rotor would.. And thus cannot be counted .. Make them spin like the Beeftubes ones, And they will count.. IMO "comp style" is defined as bolted to the knuckle like the comp guys do |

My point is, "comp style" isn't defined. In fact I made an effort "in the spirit of scale" Not saying they should be legal, but then it should say "no bolt on or stick on axle/knuckle weight" the wording leaves interpretation. And I interpret them to be scale style, not comp style |

get a pill bottle cap or something to mount between the hub and wheel that fits over that disc, and you have a very realistic drum.

That's what I did on the back of my truggy just to look like drum brakes. No weights hidden here. |
