its a cover.

Full interior:
Single seat -3, 2 seat (or bench) -4, 4 seat -5.
• A full interior must include these separate 3D pieces: seat, dash, steering wheel and complete floor. The
interior must be deep enough for a scale figure from the knees up. *An SUV cargo area gets an extra -1

Regarding Class 1 specs (and especially the China 3 door Jeep body):

Are the body fenders considered flairs or fenders?

As I understand, it is common and road legal to replace the real JK flares with smaller ones.

The vehicles body must be mostly intact. Only mild trimming is allowed, such as removing: flairs, trim,
molding & a hardtop. If the hardtop is removed, a full interior is required (no extreme trimming of bodies
allowed *See below.)

Are JK fenders "flares", which can be removed or trimmed at my own discretion? (Keeping 50% tire tuck.)

This is Class 2 rig, but would those fenders be legal in Class 1 if 50% tire tuck was achieved?

As long as you have 1/2 the tire width covered you will be okay.

Any "official" opinion on this? Edit: Argh sorry, you are committee member. Thought it should be under your name, didn't check signature. My bad.

Hi guy!

An other question.

about "Custom built hard body"

For take the "Custom built hard body"
how must be the body?

1) all the body must be build from metal, wood, pvc, ecc

2) the body can be build use an other body as basis.
to obtain an other version of truck (ex: dual cab)

3) can be considered a "custom build" a purchased body
with some change, hood, doors, front grill & light, loader..

4) A personal 3d printed body (not buyable) can be considered
custom body?

thanks for answer.

Trying figure out if building a tribute replica as a C1 comp truck is going to work, or is the slight fender trim going to push this Jeep into C2, where it'll have a heckuva time being competitive with the huge front bumper. Yes, I could change things but I want to be faithful as possible to my friend's original.

Leaving the flares off the hardbody should get me pretty close to this cut he did on the front fenders.

Cut n Fold rear quarter panels

He did run without the Cut N Fold if that's the qualifier for C2 territory.

Thanks in advance for any committee member answers.

You can remove the flares, just mind the tire coverage and wheel well opening.

Correct, you can't modify like that in C1.

I have a similar question then. If I'm using the Jeep XJ hardbody and not running the flares can it be class 1 or is that automatically class 2? Trying to make a copy of my 1:1 and it doesn't have flares. It will have the tire coverage and size but you have me doubting the flare removal part.

Should be fine. The nice thing is in the hardbody, leaving the flares off is like cutting the wells on the 1:1.

Hi, i'd like to have an official answer from the committee on these questions:

- are Proline hammer 2.2" tires legal for class 3?

- does a 3d interior made of lexan or vacuum formed plastic get points, if it is deep enough and the parts (dashboard, steering wheel, floor, seats) are separate and assembled together, so interior is made of different 3d parts and not made with a unique molded piece?

- can a strop be used not only during winching recovery or tu pull the truck, but also to prevent a rollover during side hill driving, by connecting it to the truck and to an existing winching point or natural element on the trail?
Of course getting a self recovery penalty each time you use it or change the point you connect it to the elements on the trail, and getting a penalty if the strop touches a gate.

- if any part or scale item falls off on the trail from your truck, you have to put it on the truck again and get a touch penalty?

They aren't the scalest looking tire, or the best performer.... but they also aren't on the tire ban list.

- does a 3d interior made of lexan or vacuum formed plastic get points, if it is deep enough and the parts (dashboard, steering wheel, floor, seats) are separate and assembled together, so interior is made of different 3d parts and not made with a unique molded piece?

As long as the interior has a complete floor, dash, steering wheel and seats, (and it meets spec for depth), it's a legal full interior

- can a strap be used not only during winching recovery or tu pull the truck, but also to prevent a rollover during side hill driving, by connecting it to the truck and to an existing winching point or natural element on the trail?
Of course getting a self recovery penalty each time you use it or change the point you connect it to the elements on the trail, and getting a penalty if the strop touches a gate.

A strap can be used like a winch line, but you must connect it at both ends and then let go. Each time it is hooked up you get a +3 penalty. The strap cannot be held while you use it without getting the +10 penalty.

- if any part or scale item falls off on the trail from your truck, you have to put it on the truck again and get a touch penalty?

Your Scale items must be securely attached to your rig. One small part falling off/out isn't a big deal, but if multiple items fall off along the course, the judge can either ask you to replace them for a touch penalty or can make a note to have scale points removed before your final score is tabulated.

OK question about c1 tire size. Might have been answered in previous years just haven't seen anything yet.

The rules say 106mm/4.19". It has been stated that manufacturer spec are the mandate. So with the gmade 1901 it is saying 105mm/4.2". Assuming millimeter measurements would be more accurate. Would the 105mm be the measurement used for tech?.

Here are the tires. 1.9 MT 1901 Off-road Tires (2) : Gmade Dealer Webstore

The listed measurements would have to both be 4.19" or less to be legal in Class 1. Since it says 4.2" then they would be illegal. Sorry.

An other question:

this (metal) cage:

(this is 1:10 )

how much point does it take?

I count -2 from (orange part)

Bed mounted headache rack or roll bar: Metal -2

I count -3 from (blue part)

Interior cage or exo - cage: Metal - 3,
(Per row of seats or area where seats would be).

so -5 point?

I'm non committee, but at our comps we would call that a single row interior cage, -3. You're not protecting the back cargo area/ where the rear seat would be from factory.
