Dravo Dam is east of Blacksburg. A lot of tight technical rock and then has some open areas as well. Where is Neal Shoals? Never been there. |

If you search in the comp thread for scrcc and in the location thread in here there should be some pics of that location. | |

Here is a google maps of Dravo Dam / Gaston Shoals Reservoir, I believe that is right outside of Gaffney almost into Cherokee maybe? https://www.google.com/maps/place/Ga...de9fcbac8b9dc3 I have not been to Neal Shoals either, but only heard of good things.. Not familiar with the area or where to access the rocks/parking though. Here is a link to Neal Shoals, it is located right outside of Union. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Ne...445cfc206d21a1 Here are a few pics.. Here's a thread with some pics from Neal Shoals when the water is probably at its lowest. Neal Shoals is probably one of my most favorite places to crawl. GTG This Saturday Last edited by limited77; 07-07-2014 at 09:37 PM. |

Just a heads up for you guys who have never been there. You have to climb down about a 10' drop or so. There is or was a rope there to help. You'll see where most people climb down at. Or...I've see others walk around and come down off the top of the dam; never done that personally. Its kind of a long out of the way walk carrying all of your crawling equipment if you come off the dam. Good luck and have fun. Weather permitting and if I have my wraith done, I may try to make it out myself. I am waiting on some new goodies ie.. MMP, 3300kv pro4, HD O/U gears and some various other scale goodies. |

Also, has anyone looked into holding a comp at gulches ORV park, would make a great location for a g6 if we could avoid the 1:1 trucks.

What about the Brick quarry exit 33 offroad park or another at Forest Falls 34°14'06.0"N 81°30'39.6"W ????? I think it would be fun to run a G6 style at the off road park. It would be cool to have a comp somewhat close, im sure all of the Columbia guys would like that? dont want to sound like a dick about it lol that is my 2 cents

[img=http://s27.postimg.org/ci3vv0v9b/GTG.jpg] With some help we could have a nice place to have a mini GTG. i'v walk through it with the honcho fun lines in the old creek bed and on the other side of the street there are rocks as big as a house and some like G6 rocks at Glendale Shoals. just saying it could be fun. |
