Surely looks better and more scale.

The image I posted above looks like there is an inline 4 cylinder behind the transmission.

Might be a 2 speed option with a protrusion like that? Idk.. Its not ssd. So its not really relevant to this thread.

Have to confess, I've gotten to where I like the prolonged tease...to a point. HPI abused the privilege with the Venture, so while I had money ready I did not and likely never will get one.

Since I'll probably only buy one or two rigs this year I'm perfectly content to ride the buildup since it's coming from SSD and the promise of a product worth waiting for will not go unfulfilled!

Our tolerances are usually very good and often perfect. SSD transmissions have a track record of being very good. I can say that the new plastic transmission goes together like our aluminium one. Anyone who has taken that apart knows how well that goes together.

Yeah I don't think it was planned with the venture. They have been having a hard time and from some things I've seen on facebook they might be going up for sale again.

What would that skid attach too? It doesn’t look like it would readily attach to any C-channel chassis rails.

if the c channel chassis has a short belly, it looks to me like it would work.

my money is on a VP scale trans. The VS4-10 has a high clearance design which looks like it might coincide with the mounts on that skid.

Have you ever used SSD stuff? They make very high quality stuff and I have no doubt this truck will be equally awesome! I truly have become an SSD fanboy.

that's mean!

The picture of the transmission that I posted while half asleep is almost certainly Vanquish so we can forget about it in this thread. Harley/Vanquish and SBG seem to have a very close relationship so it wouldn't surprise me that they got a teaser of the scale transmission (which the Origin should have originally come with IMO, but that's another topic altogether).
