Really looking good! What is the WB?:? If you do decide to manufacture those links, I would definetly be interested! Great job!

Thanks, the wheelbase is right at 18". We run on alot of steep slickrock here in Co, hence the long low stance.

I've made a little more progress on "The Delrinater." I got the servo mounts machined up. I made a few Delrin standoffs for the chassis, which double as body mounts.

I raised the ride height a little, it's right at 4 3/4" now. That also shortened the wheelbase a little, now it sits at 17 3/4". The height and length seem about right now, for the XL tires.

I just need to find a couple 65t motors, 10t pinions, a couple steering servos and a modded TQ-3. You Colorado boys are going to have your hands full this summer.

Thanks.

The body's not legal, not sure what I'll end up using.

Yeah, I like the way it looks too. The body came from my TXT originally, that's why it's so hacked.

Could you make the chassis out of delrin too? Would there be any weight savings?

Let me know.

I did think about making the chassis out of Delrin too. But, I don't think it'll be any lighter. The aluminum is quite a bit more rigid too.

Dirk Delrin is almost done!
He's like SuperMan but without all the problems with cryptonite and stuff.

I predict that Dirk Delrin is going to kick all asses of inferior Super Hero Crawlers this weekend.

Man I need to move to CO. The air up there must have a lot of good s*** in it.

I havent messed with Delrin that much. How is it for tapping holes and holding stuff like your shock mounts? I know you haven't testicled it but is it generally pretty hardy?

Ha! I used testicle, hard and pretty all in the same sentance. My English teacher loved me.

I've never had anything that I made out of Delrin fail. It's really strong, yet still very easy to work with. Drilling and tapping Delrin is a piece of cake.

I have a butt load of this stuff at work that they scrap. I may play around with it to see if I like it.

Nokia. A lot of them are here on work visa's from Finland and or the UK. A couple of them that I race (stock touring sedan) with are sweating the job find right now. They don't want to pack up and go home.

I am actually a contractor there, but if the buildings go, I do to.

I will "take out the trash" come Monday and grab all of the scrap aluminum, delrin and brass I can. I wish they were throwing the 36" Southbend out.
