use a sharp bit, keep the rpm high imo, and make sure you clear the hole often. It is soooo much easier than pvc. It should come out smooth, it shouldnt melt, and as long as you have a sharp tool it will cut very fast. From my experience of drilling and milling delrin it will take almost any cutting speed and bit speed. I have had better luck with a faster bit and slower cut rate, but I havent spent more than a few hours playing with delrin/acetal. |

I think that looks sweet with the bug body. The rubicon gets old after awhile, it's nice to see something different every once in a while, (like most of the stuff on this rig). |

Always glad to see a shafty guy convert Fred, but that bug body is hideous. Looks like one of the pimples on Dirk ask. Great build with the delrin, I hope I can make it to a comp someday and see it. |
