Great news. I wonder if he's making new front and rears or just rears to get to 18". I tried my stick radio with the esc's mixed. HUGE difference. Thank god for all the knowledge on RCC. | |

What are you using for glues? Ive only ever used the glues Eddie sells and they seem to work good.

| the same glues are avilable at most lhs, usually with there store brand on the label. I've ordered glue from ci and these are the same products. I use the 1-3 second type for initial gluing, then the black rubberized on the inside seams. I also use the 3-15 second gap filling type for wheel narrowing along with fiberglass cloth.

LOVE WHEN THE MAIL MAN HAS TO KNOCK ON THE DOOR, I KNOW HE'S GOT GOODIES . GOT THE SET OF LONGER LOWERS FOR MY SUPER WEDGE FROM DON AT BWD , AND A SET OF IMEX RUBICON 40'S FROM FRANKIE G . I WILL GET SOME PICS OF THE NEW LINKS AS SOON AS I GET THE OLD ONES OFF MY RIG TO SHOW A COMPARISON OF THE NEW ONES, THEY WILL ADD A LITTLE OVER A INCH TO THE WHEELBASE. I'M KINDA GLAD THAT DON DECIDED TO SPLIT THE DIFFERANCE BETWEEN THE FRONT AND REARS TO KEEP THE SAME BALANCE, NOW I HAVE TO GET SOME RIT BLACK DYE CAUSE ALL I HAVE FOR THE LONGER UPPERS I'LL NEED TO MAKE IS WHITE 3/8" DELRIN ROD. THANKS DON, THEY LOOK GREAT . Last edited by CREEPERBOB; 11-12-2011 at 03:06 PM. |

Oh and i forgot to mention i picked up 24- .6 ss weights on the forum and also bought a dremel attachment that allows it to cut like a router and ordered a sheet of delrin too. I'm gonna try my hand at some wheel weight brackets.

OKAY, GOT SOME PICS OF THE NEW LONGER LOWERS. MY WHEELBASE WAS 16.25" BEFORE AND NOW IT SITS AT 17.875 (17 7/8") AND 18" EVEN AT FULL COMPRESSION . I LENGTHENED THE REAR UPPERS TO KEEP THE AXLE UNCLOCKED, AND I MAY HAVE TO MOVE THEM BACK ONE MORE HOLE AT THE CHASSIS. THE FRONT I LEFT THE STOCK LENGHT UPPERS AND IT CLOCKED THE FRONT AXLE ABOUT 8*, SO I'M GONNA TRY THAT FIRST. THE FRONT LOWERS ARE ABOUT 3/8" OR SO LONGER AND THE REAR LOWERS ARE ABOUT 1/2" LONGER. ANYHOW, SOME PICS. |
