I dont want it to be slower I dont want it to be weaker I dont want it to be heavier I dont want it to be more $ I dont want it to take up more room If anybody else has a better idea let me know Time will tell how much better it is, I can already tell its not horrible though and it is a better option than what I was running. | |

This is a fantastic idea. Hopefly it works and is worth the effort. I would be keen to get more torque. |

Erik- do you find using the wider rear tubes with the reduced scrub, still not strong enough for the single 7980 in the rear?

I suppose it depends on your definition which could change from person to person. I personally think I will keep working on my steering until I can pull rod ends out of the links. I think I will keep working on my motors until I break axle shafts. I will then switch to making a better axle shaft which will in turn make me work on my motors until I break axle shafts again. I think supers are far from perfect and could use a lot of improvements. The single 7980 in the rear is not good enough IMO. |

Yeah, you have to click on the link for the pinion gear or the hub gear and it will take you to their choices. I couldnt see fitting the gear box they have so thats why I came up with my own. If you were running 50* of steering I would almost consider 3:1 ratio. Another thought I had was to bump my BEC voltage to 9v. The servo should be faster, stronger and also get warmer. I dont know if it would be warmer than it was before though so it may be worth it? It would be nice to achieve even more speed and power. |

7.4v If the speed stays consistent from 6v to 7.4v according to Hitec, I wont gain too much in speed but the torque should be awesome. I will bump it up and see how it goes. At this point, I am so happy with the way the front is working that I am going to pull the trigger on the rear. |

Anything I ever make is for sale.... Yeah, if there is interest I could offer them for sure. They are pretty simple on my end to make. I wouldnt trim the hub gear at all though, I would leave that to the end user. Pretty much just looking at hardware, CF plate, CF arm. |

That thing is a beast to drive. My brain was wrinkling all over and I felt like I was going all cross eyed. Not to mention my thumbs felt stupid. Yup my thumbs. Still soooooo fun though.
